Ziggy is the central antagonist of the Edens Zero anime/manga series. He initially used to be Shiki Granbell, before rejecting his former identity to declare himself as Ziggy, the Mechanical King. After dying on planet Granbell, from having no more ether energy to sustain himself, Ziggy gets revived by the Edens One's dark ether energy. Upon being revived, Ziggy becomes the Edens One's brainwashed pawn and declares war against humanity, wishing that machines rule over the universe.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He states that he wants machines to rule over the entire universe and to have the human race be driven to extinction. Any machine who sides with humans must also die alongside them, making his goal hypocritical for the machines.
- Upon being revived, he attempts to kill Shiki and the Edens Zero crew.
- He attempted to forcefully erase Pino's memory to convince her to join his quest to drive Humanity to extinction.
- He hacked planet Foresta by enslaving its robots into hating Humanity.
- He had the hacked robots enslave human beings and abuse them.
- He employed Dr. Müller to manage planet Foresta's servers and planned to give him human guinea pigs.
- He killed Jaguar before focusing on battling Poseidon Nero.
- He killed Poseidon Nero to gain more power.
- He activated the 20, 000 antimatter bombs to kill the Eden's Zero crew, which would have succeeded, if not for Witch Regret's sacrifice.
- He collected hundreds of thousands of dead human mother corpses to use their ether in finding and killing Mother.
- He attempted to kill Shiki and Pino in their final battle.
- He led the original Ziggy to let himself get killed by Shiki to prevent himself from being brainwashed by the Eden's One.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- All of his evil acts are by proxy, only caused by the Edens One brainwashing, making him fail the heinous standards to the Edens One itself.
- He committed all of his evil deeds during his brainwashed state from the Eden's One, giving him moral agency issues. However, this version of Ziggy shows a consistent hatred towards humans and a desire to enslave machines, in contrast to the original Ziggy.
