Zelus is a major antagonist of adult animated web series OnyxKing, serving as the main antagonist in both Broken Computer and Revenge of Zelus Arcs. She was originally created as a Splatoon OC made by OnyxKing and is abandoned following Meggy's debut in SMG4's channel. Because of this, she decide to take the path of vengeance by breaking SMG4's computer which causing him to turn against OnyxKing while managed to freeing herself from the inside, helping EM64 taking over the Mushroom Kingdom and attempt to kill OnyxKing and his gang, but ultimately foiled and is later destroyed by JoJo Mario.
She was voiced (through archived recordings) by Yuki Tsujii.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General/Background[]
- With an exception of EM64, she doesn't even care for her own generals and the monsters she have summoned, treating them if they're her pawns for her plans and didn't even bother of leaving them died in explosion.
- While she has several comedic moments throughout the series, it doesn't detract her from villainy and still taken 100% seriously.
- Despite being an artificial intelligence, given that she's originally created from a computer, she's clearly has full Moral Agency and definitely knew what is right or wrong, yet she chose the wrong path for her own choice.
- Unlike other villains in OnyxKing, she definitely annihilate the heinous standard while many other villains are either doesn't stand out or has any redeeming qualities. While EM64 shared crimes with her and does stand out with less resources, especially in Revenge of Zelus Arc, he's clearly too comedic and has too much redeeming qualities. Because of this, Zelus is easily the most evil villain in the series.
- She was originally a sad and lonely Inkling who is abandoned by OnyxKing who waits for anyone for her to come and save her from an isolation and loneliness. However, her sadness has turned from anger to hatred, which started her path to vengeance. Therefore, she subverts most of her redeeming qualities except for some later on.
Broken Computer Arc[]
- Being trapped in a computer for years, she decide to break SMG4's computer in order to free herself from inside.
- While OnyxKing and Mario are playing Baldi's Basics on the computer, she absorbed Mario inside the computer and have him trapped inside the game, leaving him to find a way to survive by completing the game in order for him to escape.
- Her destruction of SMG4's computer causing him to go insane and tries to find a way to fix it.
- When the Wario Bros. are trying to fix the computer, she absorbed Wario inside the computer and beating him up while mistaken him as "OnyxKing", threw him out of computer and got him sent to the hospital as result. This also made her responsible for SMG4 pick a fight with OnyxKing until Ashley threatens them to make up with each other.
- Her actions caused Mario to jump inside the computer to find her which caused him to get chased by computer soldiers. She's also indirectly responsible for MySpace's death as he sacrificed himself to help Mario get to the storage room.
- After Mario found her inside the storage room, she immediately jumped towards and attacked him before they managed to escape from the computer.
- Even though SMG4 had a right thing of getting angry at her of breaking his computer, she immediately blamed him for getting her trapped inside the computer for years.
- Ultimately, her actions cause SMG4 to turn against OnyxKing by breaking up their friendship and forbid from seeing each other again. Luckily, they later made up in the events of Revenge of Zelus Arc.
Revenge of Zelus Arc[]
- After recruits EM64 in her plans while helping him in his world conquest, they break into an abandoned Joy Factory and started working on the Salmonling Project to create an army for them to use later on. She then threw him in his cell once her outlived his usefulness, though it was either part of their plans to overthrow SMG3 from usurping his chance of taking over the world from the beginning or she later changed her mind after EM64 has made a deal with her.
- Her actions ultimately cause OnyxKing to go insane following his trauma from the events of Broken Computer Arc, even though the computer has been fixed at some unknown point. This even led him to embrace the life of shut-in, stay inside the room for himself to cool-off and refuse any help from his friends.
- Knowing that she's responsible for this, she began to mocked him over his problems, convince him to let the Mario Bros. enter the room in order to make him grew insane even more and bringing up his fear by saying he wants anchovies on top of the pizza. She even make herself intangible so OnyxKing will be the only one who can see her, possibly trying to make him look bad in front of the others. Despite the Mario Bros. manage to knock him out and send him to a therapy, she hopes to break him even more after he managed to regain his sanity.
- Even after he went to a therapy and discover that SMG3 wasn't there, it even made him agree to help Princess Peach to set up the Mushroom Party at the Mushroom Kingdom to get it off his head instead of helping Mario save Luigi.
- Eats all of the food inside the fridge which made OnyxKing almost getting hungry as result, thus making him order a pizza so she could either psychologically tormenting him by saying she wants anchovies on top of it or have the Mario Bros. disguised as a pizza delivery man in order for them to get inside (implied to have predicted this would happen).
- Her assault on Wario from before causing him to stay in the hospital without waking up for 24 hours and Waluigi has to visit him everytime that makes Dr. Mario grew annoyed for this. However, his life changed upon meeting Grasshopper and become a superhero just like her.
- After Wario gets out of the hospital, she immediately hired Wario and order him to lure the Mario Bros. inside the mansion and trap them inside. She also makes them going through 1,000 rooms which cause them to confront the scary monsters they have to face. After that, she later taunts them and reveals her deception.
- Electrocutes Mario by zapping him with her electric shock.
- Summoned the monster the Mario Bros. has faced in the mansion to attack them, only for Luigi to be captured after he sacrificed himself by throwing out Mario for his safety.
- She and Wario kidnapped all of the Inklings in order to turn them into Salmonlings for her plans.
- Knowing that Waluigi has discovered who's behind the kidnapping of the Inklings, she threatened Wario into betraying him by taking the blame of her plans, which causing their relationships to be strained for a while as result. She even shows her apathy over Wario's remorse of being forced to betray Waluigi.
- Shots a vodka on Wario's van and throw a torch at it, setting it on fire.
- Brainwash all of the Inklings by turning them into Salmonlings through fusing their DNAs with salmonids'. She also turns Luigi into a salmonoid for the second phase of her plans.
- Kidnapped SMG3 and imprisoned him in his cell, which made him miss his therapy appointment with OnyxKing.
- Forced both EM64 and SMG3 to fight each other in the final Battle of the Retarded Villains and threatened to zaps them both if they refused.
- After she and EM64 reveals their true intentions to SMG3, she brutally beats up SMG3 and puts him unconscious with her demonic eyes, leaving him to be turned into a crown by EM64.
- She, EM64 and all of the Salmonlings are infiltrating Princess Peach's castle in order to raid the Mushroom Party and take over the Mushroom Kingdom. She even disguised herself as Pyra to blend in with the party guests.
- Shot down OnyxKing in the leg with her gun.
- Order the army of Salmonlings to turn the party guests into golden statues to prevent anymore resistance.
- Shows up Luigi, who's already turned into a Salmonoid, in front of Mario just to spite him. She also order him to attack Mario before he escapes.
- Managed to kidnap OnyxKing and imprisoned him in his cell, believing she finally achieved of managed to get revenge on him, but killing him wasn't enough for her.
- She and EM64 managed to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and turned into an Empire of Darkness, with more Inklings getting kidnapped and turned into Salmonlings. Because of this, the city was turned into desolated and the citizens became miserable as well, including Mario. This includes banning the memes either which led SMG4 to build "The Memesistance" in order to fight against Zelus and EM64.
- While holding him prisoner, she electrocutes OnyxKing with her electric shock out of sheer delight and sadism.
- When EM64 is very concerned of Mario that he'll defeat them if they don't eliminate him as possible, she sent a spider to kill Mario (and Waluigi as well), leading them to fight the creature at CostCo.
- It is implied that she sent the Deer Lord to fight against Princess Peach, Wario and OnyxKing at the castle basement and the Ghost Girl and Salmonoid Luigi to fight against the Memesistance at the abandoned Joy Factory.
- Discovering that OnyxKing has escape the cell, she order to lock down all of the exits from the castle to prevent those from inside from escaping and those from outside from barging in as well.
- While she did this to protect him from risking his life to death, she immediately betray EM64 without hesitation by ending their partnership and sending him to a teleporter, leaving him to be stranded at the desolated city after she destroyed the device.
- Knowing that OnyxKing and his gang are coming to face her, she hid inside the security camera to shoot them all until Waluigi founds her.
- Predicted everything that's happened before, she has the Deer Lord trapped OnyxKing and his gang inside the large circular room so she could kill them.
- Setting up a bomb that will blew up the entire castle in 1 hour which would potentially killed OnyxKing and his gang, not caring if she dies with them as well. There are also other members of the Memesistance, hostages that was turned into golden statues and her generals inside as well, but she couldn't care as long as she will accomplish her vengeance.
- Have three generals help her fight against OnyxKing and his gang.
- Attack Bowser and using him as a surfing shell to attack OnyxKing and his gang.
- After getting beaten up by OnyxKing and his gang, they attempt to convince her to surrender and offer her a chance to move on and live peacefully. Instead, she rejects it by furiously telling them to shut up, showing that she's beyond redemption at all.
- After powering herself up, she psychologically torments OnyxKing and his gang (minus Grasshopper who's been using her mask the whole time) by putting them to sleep and giving them their worst nightmares, making them suffering in horror.
- Attempt to kill OnyxKing before Grasshopper intervenes.
- While fighting Grasshopper, she power herself up to attack her with more powerful electric shock and attempt to kill her as she's had enough of her.
- Seeing what OnyxKing, SMG4 and SMG3 were about to do, she attempt to destroy the computer from releasing Mario who's turned into a powerful form (and possibly prevent him from escaping the computer as well).
- Seeing JoJo Mario for the first time, she mocked his appearance by calling it a "before and after image of the simpleton", which possibly offends him by punching her powerfully.
- Attempt to kill Mario while they're fighting, even spitefully telling him she should've killed him back at the mansion.
- Throwing a tall and pointy building at Mario to crush him down. However, it is unknown if there are people inside the building or not.
- Attempt to destroy Mario with an ultimate attack of hers, Envious Thunderstorm.
- After failing to kill Mario, she was about to kill OnyxKing when he's watching from above just to spite him, even though she decide it's not worth it.
- Following her death, her actions brought an impact on OnyxKing and the others, as Peach had installed the entire security system at her castle to prevent anymore threats to her castle and her kingdom after retaking it back from Zelus and EM64, and OnyxKing became horrified that he hope there won't be another of her scene when he and Mario are playing Doki Doki Literature Club.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She is considered to be tragic as she was abandoned by OnyxKing due to Meggy's debut in SMG4's channel, leaving her alone inside the computer and began to fell into despair and loneliness, which started her path to vengeance. However, her crimes and actions outheinoussed her tragedy and she's taking her anger out on others who had nothing to do with her tragedy which being called out for her petty and vengeful motive of hers, so this is a minor prevention.
- Despite betraying EM64 and ending their partnership, she genuinely did care for EM64 and is concerned for his well-being as she doesn't want him to risk his life to continue fighting. This was shown when she threw him away to the teleporter which landed into a desolated city and trapped him there for the sake of his safety. It is possible that she did this because she doesn't want him to get involved in getting killed in explosion with her and the others inside the castle.
- Her death is somewhat played for sympathy where there's a sad background music played in the scene. After she gave up trying to kill OnyxKing, she decide to die in peace as she lets JoJo Mario stabs her and fire his energy beam at her, disintegrates her into nothing. OnyxKing can't help but felt sorry for her and said farewell to her, showing that he sympathizes her despite everything she had done to him.
