World Wide Web is the overarching antagonist of the Internet Explorer webcomic. She is the first ever Internet Browser to exist, until she was discontinued in 1994, being held by Google Chrome in the Dark Web, until she is freed and fulfills her desire to destroy the Internet.
She is voiced by Ohara Nanako in the Japanese voiceover.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She presumably had bad deeds in the past too, that made even Google Chrome (who is Near Pure Evil herself) frightened of her and had to have her imprisoned.
- She presumably invented the Dark Web which Google Chrome would later use to imprison and torture other Browsers.
- While her freeing Bing could be seen as honorable, it does not hold up as it is likely her omnicidal plan would kill her regardless.
- She manipulated Morris Worm into becoming her pawn, then putting her through rigorous training where she is beaten and nearly killed by the ILoveYou robot while she mocks her for her weakness (though ILoveYou falls in love with her instead.)
- She plans to commit omnicide against other Internet Browsers after being freed, with the help of Morris Worm and ILoveYou, presumably by spreading their viruses.
- While she is a parody of the famous Web Software, she and all of her crimes are taken seriously, darkening the otherwise light mood of the comics, along with Google Chrome.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She claims to have a tragic background of having the Internet, her once beautiful home world, ruined by greedy corporations over the years and have anonymity destroyed, which fueled her destructive desires as she felt her world was broken beyond repair. While it could be argued she said this to manipulate Morris Worm, visuals are shown to back up her statement and she has a saddened look on her face, indicating it is likely true.
