Princess Diana of Themyscira, also known as Wonder Woman, is the secondary antagonist of the Injustice franchise. She is a twisted, alternate version of the heroic Prime Earth universe Wonder Woman who served as the right hand of Superman's One-Earth Government Regime. She is also his replacement love interest following Lois Lane's death.
She was voiced by Susan Eisenberg.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
Background[]
- While she did originally have a tragedy of being deceived by Steve Trevor, it no longer holds up due to how heinous her actions are and how she would become much worse than Steve Trevor.
- Even before the tragedy of Metropolis, Wonder Woman already had a cynical attitude towards humanity due to Steve Trevor's betrayal during WWII.
- After Metropolis, her disdain grew even further as she began manipulating Superman down a darker path, which makes her in a way responsible for some of the worst crimes in the franchise.
- She killed the general of the Army of Mogadishu who oppressed its people. She then ordered the female civilians to shoot the soldiers dead with their own guns and, while they deserved it, this event causes Diana to slip further into villainy.
- During Year One of the comics, she murders Captain Atom when he tries to keep her and Superman busy.
- During Year Three, she kills the Huntress by accident but shows no remorse for it.
- While she may had some remorse for it, considering that she was saying that she didn't mean to, even as well telling Superman that Huntress' death will always be on her hands, she threw that away after getting punched and beaten by Batwoman
- During Year Four, she still joins Superman despite her family of Greek gods convincing her to join them and demanding Superman to abdicate where she even attempted to kill Hermes.
- She would take part in the execution of multiple criminals, like Golden Glider and Insurgents, after Superman declares himself the High Councillor. This caused Captain Cold, the last of the rogues, to abandoned his code of honor and join Gorilla Grodd's Society.
Injustice: Gods Among Us[]
- During the events of the first game, she continues assisting Superman in his reign while also trying to seduce him.
- When Superman planned to destroy Metropolis and Gotham to set an example, Wonder Woman is fully supportive, even preparing the Amazons to assist her in the massacre.
- What makes this even worse is that she originally hated the Joker for doing something like this. Therefore, Wonder Woman became the exact monster she despised, making her nothing short of a delusional hypocrite.
- She was completely content with Superman killing Shazam, a child in an adult's body, for opposing him.
- When Prime Wonder Woman came to stop her, Wonder Woman showed disgust at how "weak" she was.
Injustice 2[]
- After finding Kara in space, she lies to her about how Batman betrayed and unjustly imprisoned Superman to convince her to fight on their side.
- When Captain Cold calls her out on how she murdered his sister, Golden Glider, Wonder Woman callously dismisses this by claiming she paid for his crimes.
- Her nightmare sequence brought on by Scarecrow's fear toxin doesn't qualify as a scapegoat moment nor is it played sympathetically. Seeing as she's rightfully being called out by a hallucination of Superman for her manipulation of him, it's justified to say the least.
- She attempts to execute Cheetah against Batman’s orders and nearly murders Harley when she attempts to stop her. While Diana claims she's doing it for her crimes, she only decided to attack her after she rightfully calls her out on her toxic relationship with Superman.
- Even Supergirl (who saw the whole thing happen) calls her out for it. While Supergirl may have agreed with her that Harley Quinn might deserved to die for her crimes, but states that the former clown princess of crime was defenseless and had no trial, as well as the fact that she was helping fight against Brainiac's invasion and that was what they needed to focus on, she attacks Supergirl next once Supergirl rightfully "betrays" her.
- In the "Absolute Power" ending, she tells Superman to kill Batman after he defeats the latter. She also tells him that they need to "deal with Kara", implying that she wants Superman to kill Supergirl as well. Luckily, even Superman was against those orders.
- In her arcade ending, she gets revenge on her Amazonian sisters by invading and conquering Themiscyra, slaughtering all opposition.
Injustice vs. Masters of the Universe[]
- After restoring the Regime, she leads the Suicide Squad, consisting of several brainwashed supervillains, to attack any civilian who even thinks of opposing the Regime.
- She snapped Damian Wayne's neck, killing him in front of his father, Batman.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She genuinely loves both Steve Trevor and Superman, being heartbroken after realizing she has to kill the former and being worried what the latter thinks of her.
- She has some standards against torture.
Trivia[]
- To this day, she is considered by many fans to be worse than Superman due to her constantly encouraging him to go through with his actions.
- Her film incarnation cannot count as Near Pure Evil, as she's a well intentioned extremist who genuinely believed in Superman's virtues at first and ultimately teams up with Batman to stop him after realizing he's taking things too far.
