Wataru Kurahashi, real name Yeongmin Ji, is the secondary antagonist in Yakuza 2 (and its remake, Yakuza Kiwami 2).
He is a Jingweon Mafia member who managed to infiltrate the Japanese police. His goal is to avenge the deaths of his comrades killed during the Jingweon Massacre committed by the Tojo Clan. He also wants to kill the officer Jiro Kawara, to avenge the deaths of other Jingweon members who wanted to kill his wife, for not following the creed.
He was portrayed by Houka Kinoshita.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Along with Terada, Takashima and the rest of the Jingweon Mafia, he orchestrated to destroy the Tojo Clan by letting explode 33 bombs on Kamurocho.
- While maintaining his cover as a police officer, he ordered Makoto Date and Jiro Kawara to investigate Kazuki, the host of the club Stardust, due to the suspect he was a Korean immigrant. Although "Kazuki" was really a terrorist who replaced the real Kazuki six months prior the events of the game, it was only to lure them into a trap and kill them, along with Kiryu and the real Kazuki.
- Took hostage Makoto Date, the Florist of Sai and his staff, and told Kiryu to come to the Millenium Tower with Kaoru, threatening to blow the tower.
- Attempted to explode the bomb who would have killed Kiryu, Kaoru, Kawara, Tamiyo Sayama, the hostages and even himself and his five Jingweon men (although they were willing to die).
- Wounded Kawara, shooting him with three bullets.
- Attempted to kill Kiryu.
- After being defeated by Kiryu, he tries to kill Kaoru Sayama, forcing Jiro Kawara to sacrifice himself.
- Unlike Terada, he has no genuine affability or honor.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He's slightly tragic, as he was almost killed by the Jingweon Massacre committed by the Tojo Clan and only survived due to Shintaro Kazama deciding to spare him, when he was only sixteen years old, causing him to plan revenge against the clan. However, considering he was already part of a mafia syndicate, this is only a minor prevention.
- He cares about the Jingweon members, and he is loyal to the creed, and the principal motive he wants to kill Kawara is to avenge the deaths of the members killed by him.
