Warlon is a supporting antagonist in Book Four: Earth of the Netflix animated fantasy series The Dragon Prince.
He is the leader of a group of Earthblood Elves called Drakeriders, who hunt and capture dragons for sport. He also tried to teach N'than how to become as ruthless as him so he could also become a Drakerider, although to no success.
He is voiced by Bill Newton.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has his dragons tamed by beating them into submission.
- He has the people who trespass into his territory put in the Pit of Despair, where he has them fight the rider's untamed dragons to the death. While no successful attempts of this happen onscreen, there are many bones in the pit, giving it clear onscreen evidence. N'than's words imply he does this for fun just as much as he does it to punish the would-be trespassers.
- He sadistically beats up a drake Soren later nicknamed Squeaky in an attempt to make Squeaky submit to him, he does this in front of N'than, a child, to show him how the riders tame their dragons so he would start becoming like him.
- He and his fellow riders have Soren put in the Pit of Despair with Squeaky so he could kill the latter.
- When Azymondias tried to find Soren, Warlon tried to capture him and tame him for his own use.
- He tried to attack Rayla when he saw her.
- Unlike almost all villains in The Dragon Prince, Warlon doesn't have any redeeming qualities and his motivations for doing his crimes being to prove his superiority over dragons and out of sadism.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He fails the Heinous Standards to Finnegrin and Kim'dael, with the former torturing his crew into submission in a far worse way than what Warlon did to his dragons, as well as doing the same on Rayla and using sea anemones on Callum, making him far more personally evil than Warlon, and Kim'dael killing many more people than Warlon. However, Warlon still stands out enough to be Near Pure Evil for the amount of people he killed by throwing them onto the Pit of Despair.
