His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- For at least centuries, he's been terrorizing Earth with violent and unpredictable weather and natural disasters. He displayed no remorse for his actions, and took joy in the chaos he caused, since he viewed it as his "art" that he had every right to create.
- As he was put on trial by the Observants, they stated that entire cities were wiped out by the disasters he spawned over the centuries, implying that he was responsible for the deaths of at least hundreds of civilians. They also stated that countless lives were endangered by his actions, indicating that he endangered most of humanity.
- When the Observants asked him if he had anything to say before his sentencing, he gleefully tried to electrocute them.
- Even though Vlad freed him, Vortex showed no gratitude towards him and threatened his rescuer when he asked him to thank him.
- Although he did team up with Vlad, that was only because Vlad tortured him into submission using the Spectral Barometer, not because he viewed him as a genuine friend.
- After he managed to destroy the barometer, Vortex punished Vlad for trying to keep him enslaved by unleashing a maelstrom upon Amity Park, which threatened its citizens and forced them to take shelter.
- When Danny tried to stop Vortex, the spirit overpowered him and attempted to kill him by painfully electrocuting him and then throwing him through a building.
- He spread natural disasters across the entire planet, resulting in entire regions being devastated. Vortex himself was eventually shown freezing the city of Venice, along with at least some of its citizens.
- Upon returning to Amity Park in search of Danny, he froze part of the city and melted another section in order to lure him out.
- After regaining his powers, he terrorized an area in Amity Park by destroying all of the buildings there.
- When Danny entered the Ghost Zone to get the help of its inhabitants, Vortex was one of the ghosts who attacked him, specifically by electrocuting him.
- Although he helped Danny save Earth from the asteroid that was threatening to collide against it, that was only out of pragmatism, since if Earth was destroyed, the Ghost Zone and its inhabitants would be as well.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- While he's usually taken seriously, he has a few comedic moments that detract from his heinousness.
