That whelp who calls himself King is going to get some of that too!
~ Vogel after breaking Tarnum's back.

Vogel Backbreaker is the main antagonist of the Heroes IV of might and magic barbarian side campaign called Glory of Days Past, the archenemy of Wearjak. He was an extremely strong, cunning, yet cruel and evil barbarian warlord.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He killed with his soldiers the entire population of barbarian villages that resisted him. No one is left alive, not even women and children.
  • He brutally kills Tarnum. He is held and tortured in a prison for almost five weeks, then stripped naked in front of a crowd, the evil warlord breaks both his knees and arms with a large mallet, and then Vogel breaks Tarnum’s spine on his knees. Then, in a rage, he drops him into the ravine.
  • During his previous act, he deliberately watched Tarnum shout or cry to humiliate him as much as possible.
  • He deliberately spreads lies about Tarnum that he was a coward and deserved to die. Because of this, one of Wearjak's best friends dies.
  • He deliberately wants to prevent the barbarian clans from uniting into one community.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He fails the Heinous Standards under Sir Worton and Lord Harke.
