| ~ The Virus' last words before being stepped by Gumball |
The Virus is the titular main antagonist of The Amazing World of Gumball episode of the same name. He's an evil mutating virus whose goal is to infect Gumball's body and take over the world, but after his army was wiped out, he swore revenge on Gumball and planned to wipe out all organic life in the planet.
He is voiced by Kerry Shale.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Even before his army was wiped out, he was already a bad person who planned to infect Gumball's body along with his troops to later take over everyone's body to rule the world.
- After his whole army is wiped out by Teri, he swears revenge on Gumball and explicitly says he plans to infect him, his friends, his family and later wipe out all organic life in the planet until there's nothing left in the surface on Earth.
- He attempts to infect Gumball when he is licking a keyboard, and when some bacteria appear because they also want to share and take Gumball's body, the Virus fights them all and explodes them until there was no one left.
- After Gumball, Darwin and Teri discover his existence, he yells swears at Gumball and later grows wings to chase them.
- Once the three of them are in the Watterson household, Virus tricks Gumball into clicking a suspicious link to infect the laptop and subsequently all the electronic devices in the house to use them as weapons to try to kill them.
- Among the Electronicoa devices are:
- A microwave In a failed attempt to burn them
- A saw blade to cut off their heads (which he successfully manages to temporarily cut off Teri's head)
- Among the Electronicoa devices are:
- While he does leave cars to face Gumball and his friends "fairly" when the former calls out him for fighting dishonorably, it is clearly done out of his bruised ego instead of him being actually honorable.
- While his defeat is played for laughs, as he dramatically gloats about his ensuing victory only to be anticlimactically stepped on by Gumball, it doesn't detract from his villainy.
- Despite the series high heinous standard, Virus manages to stand out thanks to being one of the only villains with a permanent kill count of 14 bacteria, only surpassed by Ant-One with 126, and even if Virus' kill count is really low compared to Ant-One, his attempted kill count incredibly surpasses that of Ant-One and other villains, he also has less screen time and resources than villains who have also attempted omnicide, like Gargaroth and Bobert, who are more powerful than him in the case of Gargaroth or get more screentime in Bobert's case in comparison to The Virus who's a single-appearance character.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He cares for his fallen comrades as his revenge on Gumball was primarily motivated by this.
