Everything is meaningless. All that does matter is the mark.
~ Zsasz expressing his nihilism.
I see anything that looks even a little bit like a bat and this guard dies. DO YOU HEAR ME?
~ Zsasz after kidnapping Mike.

Victor Zsasz is a recurring antagonist in Batman: Arkham video game series, serving as a supporting antagonist in Batman: Arkham Asylum, a minor antagonist in both Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Assault on Arkham and a cameo antagonist in both Batman: Arkham Knight and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

In the video games, he was voiced by Danny Jacobs. In Batman: Assault on Arkham, he was voiced by Christian Lanz.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Killed a homeless man when the latter threatened him for money and felt pure joy after carving a mark on his arm. He would then later go on to become a serial killer, claiming hundreds of lives.
  • Forced an artist to draw the most depraved images of chaos and murders before stabbing him four times and left him to die. He later strung up an GCPD officer and sliced his throat.
  • In Assault on Arkham, he held a young woman hostage and tried to kill her.
  • Had been stalking Dr. Sarah Cassidy, his psychiatrist, also holding her hostage at her apartment and took her to the Old Country Hospital, trying to kill her, before being stopped by Batman.
    • During an interview with Dr. Sarah Cassidy, it was also revealed that he killed 20 women by slitting their throats and left their bodies in certain positions for the police to find.
  • He was one of the villains that the Joker invited over to help torture the unfortunate Jason Todd in an abandoned wing of Arkham Asylum, for over a year. The way Zsasz helped was by beating Jason up, alongside others. Which makes him play a part in Jason's descent into villainy as the Arkham Knight.
  • Holding Mike, an Arkham guard hostage by putting him in an electric chair, when the guards came, he threatened to kill him if they get too close.
  • After killing three guards above the penitentiary in Arkham West, he propped them up like rag dolls.
  • Used Dr. Penelope Young as a hostage so Batman wouldn't attack him.
  • It's revealed in the Penguin's exhibits in the museum of Arkham City that Zsasz has killed over a hundred men, women and children, showing that Zsasz has no issue with murdering minors.
  • He put a "test" to Batman that if he didn't get to the place he was calling in time, he would kill the hostages he had.
  • Threatened King Shark upon his transfer to Arkham Asylum under the surveillance of Amanda Waller and her A.R.G.U.S. personnel to "stick" him a knife, leading King Shark to deservedly bite his head off in self-defense.
  • While many of his murders happen off screen, they have on screen evidence with the carvings on his body, each carving represents one person he has killed.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He lost his parents when he was young and wished to bring them back, before understanding that it was impossible, he went to the Iceberg Lounge to get their money back, only to lose all of his money because of the Penguin, he became homeless and was threatened by a homeless man to give him his money before killing him, so he was basically gone by the time he became a killer, making him tragic. Even after becooming a Killer, he still loves his parents, talking how he missed them.
  • He fails the Heinous Standards to the Calendar Man, who despite having the same resources as Zsasz, managed to have an equally high kill count, and has additional crimes to his name, such as him poisoning 365 people across Gotham, nearly killing a baby to distract Batman and committing several mass murders and other heinous crimes on certain holidays.
