Vega is a major antagonist in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- He had no loyality to anyone as he will only ally with those he see strong and will turn on them if learn open in the opportunity. He only show loyalty to Feldway out of pragmatism.
- He only fakes his kindness to others as while he did help Feldway calm down when dealing Michael's death it was only to avoid his wrath due to a earlier comment he made disrespecting him.
- Despite the high heinous standards of the series, he stands out for man-eating as the only other villain who done it is the Orc Lord Geld and for turning people into Evil Dragon Beasts being considered a FWD given it puts it's victims in a “I Scream”-like state of suffering as his minions.
- Although while some of his crimes were under Feldway and Michael orders, he doesn't fail the standards to them due to him taking pleasure and doing enough crimes on his own.
That Time Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- He would end up feeding on animals and creatures before attempting to feed on humans in a village before being subdued by Shizue Izawa. Only spared due to Yuuki Kagurazaka smuggling him away to the Eastern Empire by saying to Shizue, he disposed of Vega.
- During the Eastern Empire Invasion, he would end up devouring some of his own allies and would end up defecting to the Army of Justice to aid Feldway and Michael in their schemes of attempting to destroy the world.
- He attack the Kingdom of Engrassia where he would free Reiner and attempt to kill Testarossa and Moss with intentions of playing with making Hinata Sakaguchi her plaything and play with her like food before deciding to let Reiner deal with her while he deal with Testarossa and Moss instead.
- He would betray Reiner and turn him alongside other fallen into Evil Dragon Beasts intending to unleash them all on Engrassia's Capital that would've gotten many killed while battling Testarossa and Moss where his duplicate's temporally defeat by the former was played for satisfaction.
- It was described that Reiner was suffering in a massive state of suffering akin to a “I Scream” like state when Reiner got turned into a Evil Dragon Beast so it is likely his other victims all also are suffering from it meaning he doesn’t rely on Fridge-Horror.
- While him banished from the Central World and trapped between dimensions by Mai Furuki is horrible, it is played for satisfaction given his crimes.
- He would be revived by Veldanava where he would face against some of Rimuru's allies before meeting his end by Luminous Valentine.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has a genuinely tragic backstory as he was shunned by his mother and village trying to kill him due to the connection of his father who is known for doing infamous experiments where he was forced to search for scraps to survive as a child. This would teach him how harsh the Central World is and not to trust people that still affects him enough to prevent it from being a Fake Tragic Pure Evil given it still has small effect on him that holds up to present day.
- He isn't too tragic for a Minor Tragic NPE, given he wasn't shown to be mentally traumatized meaning he wasn't abused or experienced anything severely bad by it and it wasn't too much explored in detail thus isn't the complete driving factor for his actions.
- Not to mention Shizue Izawa and Chloe Aubert been through just as a bad or worse yet turned out to be good people.
- His second death is a bit played for some sympathy as in his final moments, he would thank Luminous Valentine genuinely before fadding away.
