~ The Vampireworld's Vampire King taunting Cake the Cat before trying to devour her. |
The Vampireworld version of the Vampire King is the main antagonist of the Max adult animated series Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake episode "The Star".
He is an alternate incarnation from the Vampire King from a universe where Simon Petrikov died leading Marceline Abadeer to be raised by him, who in turn claimed the Ice Crown found by Petrikov. As a result, Marceline grows up into a bloodthirsty vampire known as The Star, who terrorizes the world alongside her fellow vampires so they can eat all humans as possible, with the Vampire King blacking the skies out with the Ice Crown's powers to enable them to do so.
Like his prime counterpart, he was voiced by Billy Brown.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- There were bite marks on the neck of Simon Petrikov's corpse when the Vampire King first met Marceline Abadeer implying he killed him.
- Raised Marceline as his daughter into his sadistic and psychopathic right-hand woman known as "The Star" in the absence of the late Simon Petrikov, turning her into an evil vampire unlike her Prime World counterpart.
- Takes over the world and lets the Earth remain the same apocalyptic wasteland is has been since the Mushroom War thousands of years ago, organizing human hunts and killing along with his men several of Ooo's denizens whenever they find them, which leads Bonnibel Bubblegum to form a resistance movement with her Peppermint Tank, Martin Mertens and Huntress to try to stop the Vampire King's rule.
- Blacks out the skies with the Ice Crown to enable himself and his vampires to fly whenever and wherever they want to feast on other humans, even though he is already powerful on his own.
- Brutally murders Huntress upon discovering that she is trying to assassinate him, stabbing her with all her arrows and leaving her as a pin cushion.
- Tries to eat Cake the Cat when he realizes that she is trying to take the Ice Crown from him.
- His actions were also going to hurt his fellow vampires in the long run, as Bonnibel remarks how The Star and her men eat so many people with their immoderate hunts. The surviving population is going to dwindle and they will slowly lose their food.
- Succeeds at defeating Bonnibel's resistance after The Star seemingly kills her and gets away with all his actions.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Regardless of the bad influence he was to Marceline Abadeer, the Vampire King seems to genuinely love and care for her. This can be shown of how he flies over to rescue her while calling her his “Babygirl” when she falls off with Bubblegum to their apparent deaths.
Trivia[]
- Only the Vampireworld version of the Vampire King counts as Near Pure Evil, whereas his Prime World version doesn't as that version is an anti-villain who does mellow out over time and wasn't a cruel tyrant.
