V.V. (Born Victor zi Britannia) is one of the secondary antagonists of the anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. He is the brother of Emperor Charles zi Britannia, but due to being immortal he looks like a 10-year-old child. He is the director of the Geass Order, which conducts research on those with the Geass ability as part of his and Charles's plan to destroy the free will of mankind.
He is voiced by Kazato Tomizawa and Einosuke Kawashiro in the Japanes version, and by Cindy Robinson in the dubbed version.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He's fully complicit in Charles's Ragnarok plan to destroy the free will of humanity allowing him to stand out and unlike Charles, doesn't even seem to have genuinely good intentions.
- He has a sadistic personality, often enjoying taunting his enemies.
- He's hypocritical as he lies to Charles more than once, despite the point of their plan being to create a world without lies.
- He creates the Geass Order, capturing many children with Geass abilities, including Rolo, and turns them into mindless soldiers to serve his cause.
- He murdered Marianne out of jealousy and lied to Charles about it, which set off the main events of the series including Lelouch and Nunnally being exiled.
- He brainwashed Rolo into becoming an assassin and had him kill many people (to the point Rolo can't even remember how many he killed). He also shows no concern for the fact that Rolo could die at any time from overusing his Geass.
- He revealed the truth about Geass to Suzaku in order to turn him against Lelouch.
- He abducted Nunnally during the Black Rebellion, resulting in Lelouch being captured and the failure of the rebellion.
- He sent Rolo to spy on Lelouch for a year and kill him if he regained his memories.
- He sent Jeremiah to assassinate Lelouch without telling Charles.
- He gleefully attacks Lelouch and the Black Knights, killing several of them, then taunts Rolo for being a "failed experiment" and tries to electrocute him to death.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He genuinely loves his brother Charles, as he accepted the burden of immortality so that his brother would not be cursed with it, and his murder of Marianne was out of fear that Charles would stop caring about him and he'd be left alone. Even in his dying moments, he tenderly states that everything he did was for his brother's sake.
- He shows care for his men, as he urges them to evacuate during the raid on the Geass Order and takes on Lelouch himself to buy them time to escape.
Trivia[]
- Interestingly, both V.V. and his brother Charles qualify as Near Pure Evil.
