God Vali 7DS

Priest Vali 7DS

I thought of doing an NPE from the Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' Rangarok: Battle of the Gods storyline and I decided to do Vali the God of Vengeance here since he is the closet here.

What's the work?[]

Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross is a mobile game based on the Seven Deadly Sins Manga & Anime of the same name.

Who is he?[]

Vali or Priest Vali is an secondary antagonist of the Rangarok: Fate of the Gods storyline originally was Priest Vali before revealing himself to be Vali the God of Vengeance who served the God Odin.

What makes him close to Pure Evil?[]

Despite him being an God he can't be compared to the Demon King nor Supreme Deity as the storyline stated the gods lost a majority of their power though still formidable as they were on par with the Sins in between Return of the Commandments and Dragon's Judgement which would give him lower resources than the two. Even then the said two had the Demon and Goddess Clans at their disposal while Vali has an entire cult of Odin worshippers and followers which would still give him a lot more lower resources than Demon King and Supreme Deity even if he retained his full power. This also means he has lower resources than the Ten Commandments as well here.

Despite claiming to be doing do his acts for an "Greater Good" this doesn't make him an anti-villain as he very delusional and arrogant only said it to gain followers to be his personal soldiers to spread Odin's name for selfish gains and reasons. And he only cared for his men who are successful and useful while any who failed were scolded and treated as disposal so they aren't "pet dog" moments as he only praised the successful ones to keep them in line.

Heinous Acts[]

He attempted to kill the Seven Deadly Sins and their allies in the storyline numerous times out of sheer spite by claiming they are evil demons and attempted to have his minions eliminate them many times while all became personal to him later on too so this is far from an act of "kill the heroes" villainy plus it put many people in danger which I will get into later on.

During his attempts of eliminating the Sins he endangered numerous people as he forced Brunhild and her army to help him out despite her learning the Sins aren't an threaten, Vali threaten to call her an traitor which forced her to comply and have her forces attack the Sins.

When Ymir's Wall collapsed which kept hostile giants at bay Vali used it as a opportunity just to spread Odin's name and forced his cult plus Brunhild and her men he forced to help out in subjugating them which got thousands of soldiers put in endanger where they were seriously injured or killed, including Brunhild herself who nearly died only saved by Elizabeth healing her. Vali would've had gotten more killed if not for the Sins interference.

His worst act was when he attempted to kill the Seven Deadly Sins when they were participating in a tournament after one his minions refused to continue on, Vali decided to take it into his own hands and unleash powerful attack to kill them not caring if innocents in the arena's audience got killed in doing so and even Merlin's Perfect Cube couldn't contain it, if not for Thor's intervention he would've had an kill count just to attempt to kill the Seven Deadly Sins. It was stated in the dialogue there were thousands to tens of thousands in the audience and the fact there were a lot of people shown in the audience so it doesn't rely on fridge-horror. He attempted to go after the Thunder Goddess next but Odin's arrival stopped their conflict.

Despite the heinous standard of the series since he is from an mobile game original story, Vali stands out for his much lower resources since he only had cult at his disposal here and the fact he willingly will get a lot of numerous people killed just to eliminate the Seven Deadly Sins out of sheer spite and arrogance allows him to stand out from the main series villains.

What prevent him from being Pure Evil?[]

He is genuinely loyal to Odin as he bowed to him respect when he showed up and seem to get along with the Goddess of Observance Heimdallr which obviously means he can't be Pure Evil.

Verdict[]

Overall Vali attempts to kill the Seven Deadly Sins out of sheer spite and arrogance which got many put in danger which got some seriously injured or killed including his attempted act of unleashing an attack inside a arena that would've gotten lots of killed if not for Thor's intervention but is genuinely loyal to Odin and seemly got along with Heimdallr which stops him from being an Pure Evil.
