What's the Work?
Animator vs. Animation is a YouTube webseries by Alan Becker about stick figures going on wild adventures throughout the cyberspace. Today's candidate comes from the Animation vs. Minecraft spin-off.
Who's the Gal?
The Cave Spider Queen is the main antagonist of the Season 1 finale, "Cave Spider Roller Coaster".
The series' main five characters are exploring a cave trying to find a Nether portal to get them back home. Suddenly, three of them are kidnapped by cave spiders, leaving Green and Blue to try and save them. They see that they've been brought to the Cave Spider Queen, who is eating meat, both living and dead. They manage to save their friends and together the fight off the queen's army during a roller coaster chase.
Later into the episode, a small cave spider informs the queen that their army was wrecked. Pissed off, she chases the five stick figures and stops them right before the Nether portal. She effortlessly defeats them in a battle and, just as she's about to jump at Orange, a Deus-Ex-Wither jumps out of the Nether portal. While the two beasts fight, the heroes escape.
She later returns in the short "You Shall Not Pass", having joined forces with the aformentioned Wither off-screen. She is again defeated by Yellow.
Heinous Standard
I debated about it, but in honesty? I think she barely passes. We see that her minions bring her both meat and living mobs, meaning there is a pattern of her having several direct or indirect murders to her name on top of presumably eating mobs alive. Trying to eat the Stick Gang instead of simply killing them is also an unique heinous act that IMO allows her to pass.
Is She Silly?
Very much so. Her second appearance is just a big reference to the infamous "You shall not pass" meme.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Evil?
Overall, I'd say it's lack of characterization. We don't exactly get a lot about her other than how she wants to eat the stick gang and seeks revenge for her first defeat.
Verdict
I'd say she's a keep.
