Welcome, everyone. Here's my second Roblox candidate here. This is a little unexpected considering they were once a VB but then their VB page was removed since they're considered to suffer from too much Fridge Horror to even be that, but please bear with me.
What's the Work?[]
Jim's Computer is a horror game on Roblox published in 2022 made by grugchamp. It focuses on Jim and his new computer with him buying several items with it. However, disappearances them begin happening all around Robloxia with many people going missing, with one of those people ended up being Jim himself.
Who are They? What Have They Done?[]
The Messenger is the main antagonist of the game. They are an anonymous messenger at roCHAT who the one is responsible for the disappearances as well as Jim's suicide.
First at Day 2, a man in Robloxia suddenly disappears with absolutely nothing but a pungent smell left behind, which is seen on a newspaper.
Then, at Day 3, more disappearances appear, and the police got no leads. But then, the messenger just tells Jim to prepare, which the message made Jim faint as the game just skips to Day 4.
At Day 4, the mayor then addresses the disappearances due to how many there are and also denies connection between the disappearances and the chemical spill at the refinery (no idea how that's important). At night, the messenger begins banging on the door which Jim has to use the planks to stop them.
At Day 5, there are so many disappearances that the mayor had to hand over his authority to the military and has ordered a shelter in-place warnintg, while still denying any connection between the disappearances and the chemical spill at the refinery (again, no idea how that's important). At night, the messenger messages Jim again saying to keep quiet and don't make a sound which they begin to bang on the door. Jim pulls out a gun and shoots himself.
What Makes Them Close To Pure Evil?[]
Now, we may not know if they actually were responsible for the disappearances at Robloxia, or if the disappearances are actually murders. However, while I'm a little lost about the latter, I think the former is true. The mayor mentions an unknown threat at Robloxia, which is the one causing the disappearances, which is them, as well as the fact that they message Jim about preparing for them and also telling him to keep quiet and don't make a sound. Secondly, while it doesn't entirely reduce the Fridge Horror of the latter, this may reduce some of it, as the police mentioned the traces of the missing victims are a pungent smell, and also the fact that they made Jimmy commit suicide.
There's also the fact that we don't see any of the disappearances. However, they aren't offscreen villainy as they have an impact in the game as they are the reason why the mayor has to give his authority to the military. There's also the fact he caused Jim to commit suicide which is onscreen since we see him do it. While Jim's Computer 2 states Jim decided not to commit suicide, that isn't canon since it's an April Fool's Joke.
Lastly, there's practically no heinous standards since he's the only villain in the game. While Jim's Computer 2 introduces some monsters, the canonicity of that is dubious since it's made as an April Fools' Joke. Even then, they all just tried to attack Jim, nothing else.
Mitigating Factors?[]
Here's another problem. They only have 2 lines, which makes them insufficiently characterized. While this is true, I don't think it makes them too insufficiently characterized, as with their lines, they are somewhat sadistic as they like to play with their victims telling them to prepare, keep quiet and don't make a sound.
Also, while Jim's Computer 2 was an April Fools' Joke and is thus not really taken seriously, the canonicity of that is dubious since it's an April Fools update. Even then, none of the comedy is really directed to them.
What Prevents Them From Being Pure Evil?[]
Here's their actual preventions. They still rely on Fridge Horror as it's unknown if the kidnapping victims actually died. However, with the pungent smell left by the kidnapping victims as well as the fact that they made Jimmy commit suicide, I don't think it's big enough for them to be NPE. Also, while shown in Jim's Computer 2 that the Robloxians became infected and reduced into mindless monsters that just kill, the canonicity of that is dubious since it's made as an April Fools' Joke.
Also, while they aren't entirely insufficiently characterized since they're shown to be sadistic, they're still insufficiently characterized since we still have no idea what their full personality is, since they only have 2 lines.
