Ucumu is the main antagonist of Nickelodeon's 50th full-length animated film The Casagrandes Movie.
He is the tyrannical Purépecha god of the underworld, who has been unleashed after Punguari inadvertently released him in her desire to become a full-fledged god.
He is the main reason why Punguari must be petrified as a mountain from being free and getting the Mask of Many Faces to cause even more destruction, releasing Ucumu from the depths. He is also the arch-nemesis of Punguari, Chipiri, and Sisiki.
His vocal effects were provided by an uncredited Sean Crisden.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- In ancient times, he tried to destroy the entire world with his army of demons and was only stopped when Sisiki and Chipiri imprisoned him in the Underworld.
- 800 years ago, when Punguari put on the Mask of Many Faces and unintentionally released him, he tried to kill her from behind, forcing Sisiki to petrify her and transform her into a small mountain to protect her.
- Sisiki and Chipri banishing him to the Underworld again using a flaming chancla led to them being imprisoned in the gems on Ucumu's headpiece.
- His actions led to Ronnie Anne accidentally unleashing Punguari from the mountain 800 years later.
- After being released from his imprisonment once again by Punguari's donning of the Mask of Many Faces, he attacks the Casagrandes, Ronnie Anne, and Punguari to kill them before resuming his destructive conquest of the world, showing that he has no qualms about killing children just to achieve his goals.
- He tries to absorb Punguari's soul to imprison her alongside her parents.
- He doesn’t show any care nor concern of his Lava Demons, only viewing them as pawns to help him complete his goals.
- He is easily the most heinous villain in The Loud House and The Casagrandes due to him attempting to destroy the world many times every time he escaped the Underworld and for inadvertently trapping Sisiki and Chipiri in a fate worse than death, while trying to condemn Punguari to the same fate before his defeat.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He suffers from insufficient characterization due to for the most part being a cataclysmic god who poses a threat to the world with very little personality traits shown beyond the threat he poses.
- Despite being taken mostly seriously as a threat, his defeat is played for laughs, in which the Chancla burns away his lava skin and reveals his skeletal figure, causing him to become embarrassed and the girls being humorously disgusted.
Trivia[]
- He and Morag are the only The Loud House villains to be Near Pure Evil and actually one of the only characters in the franchise to be an actual villain as most antagonists are either bog-standard jerks or bullies.
