If you guys are willing to die to stop the killing game, I'll die to continue it. Even if it's just fiction, I gave my life to make it. I've given my life... to Danganronpa.
~ Tsumugi Shirogane.

Tsumugi Shirogane (in Japanese: 白銀 つむぎ, Shirogane Tsumugi), the Ultimate Cosplayer, is the main antagonist of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Initially portrayed as a support character in the game, this turned out to be a facade later on, eventually revealed to be the mastermind of the Killing School Semester and Shuichi Saihara's archenemy.

Her talent is the Ultimate/Super High School Level Cosplayer (in Japanese: 超高校級の「コスプレイヤー」, chō kōkō kyū no “kosupureiyā” lit. Super High School Level Cosplayer). As a cosplayer, Tsumugi is able to mimic the appearance, behavior, voice, and characteristics of the person she is cosplaying as. However, she is unable to cosplay as anyone who is existent in reality.

In the Japanese version, was voiced by Mikako Komatsu. In the English version, she was voiced by Dorothy Elias-Fahn,

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Even before she reveals her true self, she constantly makes passive-aggressive, extremely dismissive quips towards the other participants of the killing game, uses all of her additional comments to force completely unnecessary subjects into casual conversations and the trials, and all of her attempts to help in murder cases are clearly only intended to hinder everyone rather than solve those cases (a clear example being her "account" on Angie only letting student council members into her research lab—the scene of her murder—in Korekiyo's case, which only gave Korekiyo the means to cover for himself and didn't lead anyone further to the truth).
  • She organized the Killing School Semester out of pure sadism, having all of the other 15 teenagers be forced to murder each other with various motives and executing them in creative and brutal ways when they are caught.
  • It's very likely that she's the one suggest putting incest sub-plots into the 53rd Killing Game such as Korekiyo having romantic love for his sister and the Monotaro/Monophanie love story, considering how she has an incest fantasy with Shuichi in her Love Hotel scene.
  • When Kaede Akamatsu used a shot put ball to try to kill the mastermind and almost accidentally killed Rantaro Amami, she finished the job and bashed his head in to kill him, then framing it on Kaede and having her executed.
  • After Kokichi claims to be the mastermind and shows the remaining students the "outside world" in an attempt to stop the killing game, she creates a flashback light which makes the remaining students falsely remember Kokichi as a Remnant of Despair, hoping that Maki will kill him to protect Kaito, restarting the killing game. This makes Kokichi force Kaito into killing him in order to protect Maki, making Tsumugi indirectly responsibility for Kokichi's murder.
  • During the final trial, she taunts the remaining students about how they're all fictional and that K1-B0's "inner voice" was just an audience survey in order to put them in despair.
  • She attempts to end the class trial in a final vote, where if she got the most votes, the remaining students would live the rest of their lives in the killing game, and if K1-B0 got the most votes, the remaining students could leave the killing game if two others were sacrificed.
  • She shows amusement when K1-B0's personality was deleted by the audience, seeing it as proof that the audience wants Danganronpa to live on.
  • She ultimately doesn't care for the lives of the other participants, just wanting the audience to be satisfied. She's also unconcerned over giving her own life, willing to die by not voting so the outside world could use K1-B0 to vote for hope just to continue her ideal of the Killing Game.
  • While having comedic moments, even after her reveal, she is taken seriously in-universe, and they do not detract from her horrible crimes.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She fails the System Standards as while none of the other members are known, she is ultimately another pawn of Team Danganronpa, meaning she is likely one of many who do the same things as her. Additionally, she fails the Heinous Standards to Monokuma who is confirmed to have hosted multiple Killing Games in the past.

Trivia[]

  • She and her I'd Trade My Life For Yours counterpart are both considered Near Pure Evil.
  • There's a possibility that she was originally just another volunteer to join killing game and Team Danganronpa brainwashed her into a mastermind. If this is true, she would be removed from Near Pure Evil. However, there's not enough in-game evidence to confirm this possibility.
