~ The Shop Owner before turning Thomas into a shop dummy. |
The Shop Owner is the main antagonist of the Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids episode "Sweets". As his name suggests, he is a shop owner who lures children into his sweet shop, where he then turns them into paper-mache shop dummies.
He was voiced by Nigel Planer.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Before the episode even took place he turned six children into shop dummies.
- To make this even worse, it's clearly shown by the episode these children are still alive, but all they can do is move is their eyes.
- It's heavily implied through his dialogue, that he stalked Thomas and his Mother, to get more information on Thomas as he knows Thomas's name, knows his favourite sweets and knows that he gives his mother a hard time when they go shopping.
- He tricked Thomas into going into a side room in his shop, where he scooped him up in his net, and then dropped him into a mixing boll of paper-mache, turning him into a shop dummy.
- He ended up getting away with all his actions, with the final frame of the episode, being Thomas crying, realising that his mother isn't going to save him.
- Despite Thomas being quite bratty, this is far more than what he deserved, and it's clear the Shop Owner enjoys turning kids into shop dummies as he smiles when turning Thomas into a dummy and he grins at him once he wakes up, despite knowing the kids are in a fate worse then death.
- The comical moments he has only serve to make him more creepy, such as his incredibly twisted laugh.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He shows sympathy towards Thomas's mother, due to her having to put up with his bratty behaviour.
Trivia[]
- He is the only character from Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids to be Near Pure Evil.
- It's heavily implied by the episode that he somehow made Thomas's mother forget about him, if this was confirmed, this would make him even worse, as this would mean he actively stopped parents from looking for their children.
