“ Gojira may be a monster, but he seems different to me. He is rather a god. Controlling our world according to each order. And I will be the meat of the beast. I will be the host of Gojira. Because I want to be a god who is respected by people. I want to be the meat of this beast. And the fear of which one is wrong. I'm not a movie monster. It's Goji. The law of good and evil. I will live in this beast. Because he is the only one who can help us. There is no God. Just me. Goji. „ ~ The Man in The Suit on himself and his character.
The Man, also known as Gojira, or Goji, better known as the Man in The Suit, is the titular main antagonist of the analog horror series of the same name created by Unknowingly.
A Japanese man who lost his family to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings and became mad with revenge and hatred towards America, he is the suit actor for Gojira who went insane and merged his body with the suit after donning it, becoming a powerful supernatural force and spreading its power and influence to the other suit actors.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- After merging with the suit, the Man decided that, with his new body, to get revenge on the people who were responsible for the bombings that took his wife and children.
- While filming Godzilla Raids Again, he would bite the Man in the Anguirus suit in the neck, horrifically merging the actor with the Anguirus suit.
- He felt no pity for the Man in the Anguirus Suit after biting him, simply telling him to stop trying to prevent the "inevitable" while he's begging for the pain to stop.
- He murdered Shoichi Hirose, the suit actor for King Kong in King Kong vs. Godzilla, for being a "traitor" for playing Kong, due to Kong being an American monster.
- When the power went out, the screams of terrified crew members were heard coming from the other room. It's heavily implied the Man attacked the crew members and might have killed some.
- He chased the cameraman in the dark. Thankfully, the cameraman somehow survived the encounter.
- After Toho tried to remove the Man from the suit, the Man attacked one of the men in the process, only being stopped by a camera flash.
- During the filming of Mosura vs. Gojira, the Man snapped and bit the Mosura puppet being used, thinking it was another suit with someone inside.
- After realizing it was a puppet, the Man went after and attacked the Woman in the Mosura Larva suit.
- He mauled the Woman in the Larva Suit's parents to death when they tried to stop him.
- After being tased by a now-ready crew, the Man escaped into the public.
- He vomited radioactive blood to defend himself from the crew, burning up the forest in the process.
- When the crew returned with the Man, they found the Woman in the Mosura Larva suit on the ceiling in a cocoon, implying she had become a presumably horrifying version of Mosura's Imago form.
- He vomited radioactive blood into the Ghidorah suit's head, causing the actor of Ghidorah to be mutated.
- He cut off the power and attempted to kill the cameraman again upon noticing his return to the studio with the intention of putting him down.
- Despite wanting revenge on the Americans for bombing Japan, making them responsible for his family's death, this made him a sheer hypocrite rather than an anti-villain or even a well-intentioned extremist at all, as he decided to torture and mutilate his fellow actors (who are also Japanese) into fusing with their suits.
- What made him even more hypocritical is that he also killed the Woman in the Mosura Larva Suit's parents and showed no remorse for it, despite the death of his family being his main motivation for his crimes.
- While he is insane and feral, nothing indicated he gained impaired agency as he showed some signs of sadism, and is still able to cooperate and act, proving his moral agency is unaffected.
- Toho's terrible treatment of him during the production of their films didn't register him sympathetic or even a scapegoat, as he was already a monstrous and horrible person long before their abuse even began.
- Although him protecting his fellow actors from everyone on the set while they were fusing with their suits might seem like he cares for them, this was merely done to stall for time so their transformations could be complete.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is genuinely tragic, as he lost his family and everyone else, he loves to the Hiroshima bombings while he was on a business trip and was shocked to see the public not preparing for an attack on America which makes his hatred understandable to some extent.
- Subsequently, he truly loved his family, and his motives are centered around avenging their deaths, as well as those who perished in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
Trivia[]
- The TMITS series is going to have more episodes which could affect his NPE status depending on where his character goes.
