“ | Aku Aku: "No! Not the Elementals! Uka Uka, why did you release them? Don't you know what happened the last time they were free?" Uka Uka: "So they were responsible for a few earthquakes, floods and that little Ice Age a couple of centuries back. You worry too much, brother." Aku Aku: "You cannot restrain them, Uka Uka! They are far too dangerous! This could spell disaster for us all!" Py-Ro: *laughter* "On the contrary, Aku-Aku, it spells disaster for you and that precious planet you care so much about. DESTROY HIM!" |

~ Aku Aku upon seeing the Elementals again in millennia. |
The Elementals (Rok-Ko, Wa-Wa, Py-Ro and Lo-Lo) are the secondary antagonists of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex.
They are a group of four ancient magical masks who each have the power to manipulate a particular element and cause chaos across the world. It is unknown if they are brothers or even related to Aku Aku and Uka Uka in any way. Aku Aku claims that not even his evil brother might be able to keep them under control, but Py-Ro denies this and their partnership with Uka Uka and Cortex never breaks.
Rok-Ko was voiced by Thomas F. Wilson (who also played Biff Tannen in Back to the Future Part II), Wa-Wa was voiced by the late R. Lee Ermey (who also played Charlie Hewitt Jr. in Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Py-Ro was voiced by Mark Hamill (who also voiced Undergrowth in Danny Phantom, Abraham Kane in Motorcity, the Party Bus Driver and the Scarecrow in Regular Show and Megatronus Prime in Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy) and Lo-Lo was voiced by Jess Harnell.
Their Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Them Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- As they were released by Uka Uka, Aku Aku was terrified as he knew how dangerous they are when they were free, and that they caused natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, and even an ice age.
- The four of them attack Aku Aku upon being freed.
- They assist Dr. Cortex and Uka Uka in their plan of taking over the world, while plunging the world in natural disasters.
- Although they have a few comical moments such as making jokes about their elements, it is not enough to detract their heinousness and actions. In fact, there are a few jokes which is more of a threat, such as Rok-Ko threatening to bury Crash alive, or Py-Ro threatened to burn Crash.
- While the Heinous Standards are pretty high, in which they have to compete with Nitros Oxide and Victor, the Elementals still stand out in their own, due to able to manipulate natural events and weather, able to cause many damage without any impressive resources.
What Prevents Them from Being Pure Evil?[]
- The disasters they caused in the past are off-screen and not much information is given as to whether they caused any deaths or not making them suffer a bit of Fridge Horror, and they also failed the Heinous Standards to Uka Uka, since they follow most of his orders in the game.
