| “ | "Oh, let's play a game!", they said. "Let's play hide and seek! You go down there and see if the Titans wanna play!" So I played, and it was great! The baby Titans were the cutest, just like King! And they were all so welcoming! But the Archivists were scared of their power. So one by one, they disappeared, until there was one Titan left. | „ |
| ~ The Collector explaining what the Archivists did to him and the Titans. |
The Archivists are four of the five overarching antagonists (alongside The Grand Huntsman) of the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House.
They are a quartet of the ancient Collectors. They sent their younger brother down to the Demon Realm to meet the Titans only to kill them all out of fear of being overthrown by them.
Their Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Them Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- They likely participated in the rest of their species' actions of "preserving" creatures as while it wasn't confirmed that they did so by the show proper, the fact that they're titled "the Archivists" and the Collector said “the Archivists aren’t here, they couldn't have taken her” after Luz died temporarily both support this idea.
- It's very likely that they've destroyed life on other planets as in the special "for the future" a book ,most likely belonging to them before they died , contains the creed of the Collector race which states "should other beings meddle in our affairs we'll clean the planet and scorch the air" this is backed up by a picture in the same book showing some Collectors trying to kill the inhabitants of a planet.
- They sent their younger brother, the Collector, down to the Demon Realm and made him think they were playing hide-and-seek, telling him to see if the Titan inhabitants of the planet wanted to "play".
- It's implied that their initial request to the Collector was done as a way of abandoning him or even getting him killed by the Titans.
- When the Collector befriended the baby Titans, the Archivists slaughtered them and likely their parents because they feared the Titans' ability to negate the Collectors' own powers.
- Their genocide of the Titans resulted in the Boiling Isles Titan wrongly believing that the Collector was responsible for killing the rest of his kind and trapping him inside a prison of perpetual solitude for thousands of years, kickstarting the rest of the series' events as a result.
- Although they possibly share the same actions as other collectors, this specific group is noted for having formed a plan for the genocide of the Titans and using their younger brother as a pawn.
What Prevents Them from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Due to not making any physical appearance in the series, they have insufficient characterization. However, considering their likely fake cordiality towards the Collector and their described fear of the Titan's power, they have enough characterization to avoid being Generic Doomsday Villains.
