ā€œ MY HEAD! IT'S IN MY HEAD!! ā€ž
~ Darkseid after being infected by the virus.
ā€œ We are death, nothing can stop death. ā€ž
~ The Anti-Life Virus, while infecting Wonder Woman, taunting Cyborg about how stopping it is futile.

The Anti-Life Virus is the main antagonist of the limited comic series DCeased.

Created by the diabolical death god Darkseid to kill off man for good, it becomes a volatile infection due to a mishap with the Anti-Life Equation. After destroying Apokolips and being sent down to Earth with Cyborg, it turns millions of people (including superheroes and villains alike) into bloodthristy, ravenous beasts.

Its Evil Ranking[]

What Makes It Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Upon its creation, it infects Darkseid, causing him to blow up Apokolips.
  • When Cyborg, who the virus was inhabiting at the time, connected to the Earth's internet, it infected essentially anyone who so much as glanced as a screen, leading to millions becoming Anti-Living.
    • To make matters worse, the infected are in pain after becoming Anti-Living, as they are constantly trying to scratch the virus out of their heads.
  • It infects several superheroes and supervillains, some of these being:
    • The entire Bat Family outside of Damian Wayne, forcing Alfred to kill all of them and for Damian to take up the mantle of Batman.
    • Aquaman, who ended up slaughtering not only all Atlanteans, but every inhabitant of the oceans in general.
    • Green Lantern, who would've killed Black Canary had his ring prevented him from using lethal force.
    • Captain Atom, who was forced to painfully feel the virus taking control of him before exploding.
    • The Joker, who tried to kill Harley Quinn.
    • Giganta, who nearly destroyed the Daily Planet and everyone inside of it.
  • Infected Jonathan Kent and tried to kill his wife and son.
  • Barged in on the survivors as Martian Manhunter, killing Lex Luthor and infecting the Flash.
  • As the Flash, it slaughtering dozens within a few seconds, before being stopped by Superman.
  • After infecting Superman, it absorbs all of the sun's energy, thus starving the entire solar system out of light as a last-ditch attempt to kill all life in the universe.
  • While it may seem like just a generic zombie virus, while it was possessing Wonder Woman, it spoke to Cyborg with decent grammar, told him that he was the cure to the virus, and even showed a coldhearted personality, showing that it does have sapience.

What Prevents It from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Suffers from moral agency issues due to being created for the specific purpose of killing humanity. Due to having a personality though, it's a minor prevention.
