Teddy and Martha are minor antagonists in the Disney Channel animated series Amphibia, serving as the main antagonists of the Season 1 episode "A Night at the Inn".
Originally appearing as kind couple of bullfrogs who own Dandy Lion Inn, they are revealed to be cannibals who attract people to their inn so they can eat them.
Teddy was voiced by Chris Sullivan, while Martha was voiced by Kari Wahlgren, who also voiced Mevia.
Their Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Them Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- While initially appearing as a kindly couple who willing to give shelter and food to those who are in need, it was a façade, as they simply wanted to cook and eat their guests.
- Orchestrated accidents with snails of their guests using bear traps to lure Amphibians to their inn, where they would feed them slumberdoodles, cookies that contain sedatives, before cooking and eating them, while also leaving snails to perish in shed. While their murders were off-screen, they had 7 snails at their shed (one of which even belonged to a recently wedded couple), proving that their murders did happen.
- After they captured Anne, Sprig and Hop Pop using slumberdoodles, they made a victim-choosing game and played it with Martha's sisters Juliet and Juniper. This makes it clear that they eat others out of sheer sadism and possibly played the same "game" with their previous guests.
- Due to having much lower resources than other characters, they easily pass the Heinous Standard when compared to villains such as King Andrias and the Core (and, by extension, King Aldrich). While it's true that Curator Ponds also has low resources, Teddy and Martha still stand out due to their crime of cannibalism being unique for Amphibia.
What Prevents Them from Being Pure Evil?[]
- They care about each other, as Teddy accepted Martha's apology for not catching Polly, assuring that it wasn't her fault and even began to snuggle with her. Teddy also showed affability toward Martha's sisters, playing their victim-choosing game with them, and accepting that he would be getting a smaller portion of food but felt grateful for the short cook time.
