I have not betrayed. I have decieved. Have you forgotten Optimus... that I am a Decepticon?
~ Tarn to Optimus about his betrayal

Tarn is the final antagonist of Transformers: Cyberverse, serving as the main antagonist of its finale, The Perfect Decepticon. He is one of the Perfect Decepticons created by Megatron X that were eventually reprogrammed to be his mindless slaves. Eventually, he broke free of Megatron X's programming and viewed him as an unworthy leader for the Perfect Decepticons after his defeat and eventual death, seeking to be Megatron X's successor to surpass him.

He was voiced by Marc Thompson.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Unlike the rest of the Perfect Decepticons, Tarn broke free of the programming Megatron X used to enslave him and yet continued to do bad despite having the free will to do good also, admitting he is embodying the corruption Megatron X went up against before his quest for power consumed him.
  • After regaining his free will, Tarn shows no remorse for assisting Megatron X in the Decepticon genocide, gunning down the Soundwave of his universe.
  • With the Perfect Decepticons fighting each other to claim the position as leader, Tarn then lures the conflict to the main universe's Cybertron, leading a big attack, in order to manipulate the Autobots and Decepticons there to help him gain the Cortex Helm.
  • Uses the Cortex Helm to reprogram all the Perfect Decepticons to his will, despite clearly being aware the rest of the Perfect Decepticons have minds of their own that are overridden by Megatron X's programming.
  • Plans to restart the devastating Great War and end the Peace Treaty to have the Autobots wipe out the Decepticons.
  • He has Optimus forced to fight multiple Perfect Decepticons to the death, sometimes giving unfair matches by having him battle not just three, but even six, leading to the deaths of multiple Perfect Decepticons and Optimus being gravely wounded.
  • When Optimus fell, Tarn attempted to have him dishonorably executed.
  • When the Decepticons disobey his orders to wipe out the Autobots, Tarn orders his army to eliminate them both, which will result in the end of the Transformers species barring the Perfect Decepticons.
  • He beats Hot Rod to near death, angering Soundwave, who eventually attacks him and gains the Cortex Helm to free the rest of the Perfect Decepticon from their binding programming.
  • As revenge, Tarn brutally beats Soundwave to near death, leading to Soundwave using the last of the strength he has from his battered state to launch a powerful sonic wave that annihilates them both.
  • Has no genuine loyalty towards Megatron X at all, viewing him as an unworthy leader of the Decepticons and seeking to surpass him, rather than trying to fulfill his wishes.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He fails the Heinous Standards to Trypticon & Soundblaster, both the main version of Megatron and his former master Megatron X as well as Shockwave as with similar and lower resources, they had more scale in their crimes in which they targeted at least 2 more planets for destruction, and lacks the personal cruelty Megatron X has in just his one episode along with his kill count.
