Tarantulas is a major antagonist in Zord Adventures.

He is the Predacon scientist and creator of the Reprogrammer X, a device capable of reprogramming any Zord and Maximal into A Predacon. He serves as one of Rampage's minions and as an enemy of the Zords and the Maximals.

He is voiced by the series' creator, Andrew Deliberies, who also voiced Rampage and Quickstrike in the same series.

What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?

• Prior to the events of the series, Tarantulas was a Predacon scientist and soldier who fought alongside Megatron, and later Rampage after the former's death, during the Beast Wars against their enemies, the Maximals.
• He created a device know as Reprogrammer X, which had the ability to painfully turn any Zord and Maximal into a Predacon, which Rampage sought to use in the war against the Maximals and later the Zords.
• He helped Rampage kidnap Rhinox so the former could reprogram him into a Predacon, and captured Dinobot when he tried to stop them for the same purpose.
  • He also likely helped him kidnap and reprogram dozens of Zords who are seen at his base.
• He and the rest of the Predacons ambush Ape and the Dino Zords and attempt to kill them, with Tarantulas starting the fight by using his venom to paralyze Ape and cause his insides to rapture.
• He rejects Ptera's plead for them to leave Rampage out of loyalty for the latter and because they find being evil more fun.
• He tries to shoot Eagle out of the sky.
• Upon being revived, he and Rhinox happily help Rampage in his plot to kill Tyrano and capture the Dino Zords, with Tarantulas attacking Mastodon by slicing at him with his buzz saw.
• He sadistically laughs and taunts the saddened Dino Zords about their leaders death before injecting them with his venom and putting them to sleep to make their capture easier.
• He, alongside Dinobot, Dragon, Rhinox, and Quickstrike go on their mission to destroy the Thunder Zords' base and make Rampage's conquest easier by destroying the Thunder, Ninja and Shogun Zords.
• He, Rhinox and Tsubasamaru went inside of the burning base to kill any Zords who might have survived the first explosion.
• Unlike most of the other Predacons in the series, Tarantulas has little to no comedic moments and is taken completely seriously whenever the heroes face off against him.
• Overall, his involvement in Rampage's brainwashing of dozens of innocent Zords via the creation of the Reprogrammer X and major contribution to one of the worst things to happen in the series (the destruction of the Thunder Zords' base) easily makes him stand out as one of the worst villains in the entire series, as both of those actions are what allowed Rampage to expand his army and come as close as he did to accomplishing his goals.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure?

• He is genuinely loyal to Rampage, as shown when Ptera tries to convince the Predacons to not serve Rampage anymore, and he retorts by saying that they trust Rampage with their lives, which is further proven by his willingness to put his own life on the line by going inside a burning base just to accomplish a task he gave him. He also always obeyed his orders without question and was happy to be brought back to life alongside Rhinox and help him destroy the Dino Zords.
• Although his actions are too vile for him to be a scapegoat, his death is still played with slight sympathy, as he was basically betrayed by his own leader whom he held genuine loyalty towards by being killed in an explosion he ordered while knowing he would die in it, and Dragon and Dinobot do feel pretty bad that he and the others died to the point where the latter wanted to give them a moment of silence as a way to honor them (though, said moment is cut short by Quickstrike before it could happen).
