~ Star Dream while possessing Haltmann |
Star Dream is the overarching antagonist of the 2016 Japanese video game Kirby: Planet Robobot. It is the one responsible for causing Haltmann‘s insanity. It is designed to study all sorts of life throughout the universe. However, after it's realization that life is an obstacle to the company's prosperity, it decides to destroy it all.
Its Evil Ranking[]
What Makes It Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- It is responsible for Haltmann going insane. Although it was most likely unintended due to being incomplete at the time, it felt no remorse nor empathy at all for what it had done to Haltmann. It is also fully aware of its deeds, as they're almost always in the office.
- Didn't stop Haltmann at all when he embarked on a quest to roboticize several planets.
- It helped Haltmann when it created 3 King Dedede clones.
- This may even be the case for all versions of Mecha Knight (Meta Knight forcibly turned into a cyborg), and because Mecha Knight is a machine like Star Dream, and not a clone, it may have even been puppeteering Meta Knight to kill Kirby.
- Viciously assaulted Susie with an electrical beam, further proving it doesn't care for Haltmann since Susie was Haltmann's daughter and he loved her dearly.
- It decided it does not like organic life at all due to delusions that organic life gets in the way of the prosperity of Haltmann's company, and as a result tries to destroy all of it.
What Prevents It from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Despite being self-aware due to studying all of life and becoming able to think for itself, it still has moral agency issues since its decision to wipe out all organic life was because of faulty programming (and total omnicide against organic life also being Haltmann's last wish before losing control), which makes it genuinely believe that it would bring prosperity to Haltmann's company.
Trivia[]
- Star Dream is the only Near Pure Evil from the Kirby games. While most of the villains suffered from zero characterization or severe moral agency issues, and those who don't have these preventions are too inconsistent or not heinous enough to pass the heinous standards.
