Something stirred, both root and sinew. I cannot eat, nor can I starve. A face on the great tree did I carve. It spoke to me, it whispered things. It demands more life, demands more rings. |

Its Evil Ranking[]
What Makes It Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- According to its entry in the CAT-DOS, it has killed 149 people. Its method of attacking its victims is by absorbing them into its torso, this is seen in-game, as when Specimen 8 gets close to the player, it will open its cloak to reveal the screaming faces of some of its victims. The souls of its victims also remain conscious even after being killed, so at all times they are in agony.
- If the player is killed by Specimen 8 while it chases them, it will do the same thing to them by transporting them to a dirt path where they are forced to walk down it until they approach Specimen 8. It will wait until they meet before their soul is absorbed.
- Specimen 8 would use its violent deer to murder and devour anyone who enters its forest. The deer would kill a hunter, whose bones are found inside a shack within its location.
- It chases the protagonist when they arrive at their room and has a chance to chase them again while they are in the mansion, warping to them using portals if they get out of sight. The Specimen also tries to persuade them to join the other souls trapped in its body.
- In the Doll House, the player can choose a specimen to summon to seal the Hell Gate. If they choose Specimen 8, it will chase the player again, while its deer will also get in their way to kill them.
- It would help Spooky achieve her goals, just like the other specimens.
What Prevents It from Being Pure Evil?[]
- It cares for his deer, which can be seen in how when the player kills one, The Deer Lord does appear for a few seconds on the screen.
- It has a tragic past since it was given as an offering by its family, also while it lived with them they had no food to survive.
- It is loyal to Bayagototh, as shown by the phrase it uses when it is going to be absorbed by the Hell Gate and in its second Game Over screen.
Trivia[]
- According to the creator, it is inspired by The Beast, who is Pure Evil.
