My children drowned. So I took theirs for mine. I sew them all up, with long silver twine. I use my wood drill, to bore out their eyes. Speak not my child, I'll silence your cries.
~ Ben The Merchant

Specimen 6, known as Ben the Merchant in life, is a minor antagonist in Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.

Once an innocent, but naïve merchant with a knack for woodworking, he had made a wide arrangement of puppets in life; however, after his rival vendors threw his puppets into the water, his neuroses kicked in, and he dove into the river to save his "children". After drowning from that encounter, he later returns as a wooden humanoid, who desires to slaughter some of the town's children to punish them for wronging him and his puppets.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He killed hundreds of children, with onscreen evidence of their corpses.
  • He turned these children into puppets, sewing their mouths and removing their eyes.
  • He possibly killed all the people of his town, as it was desolate when GL Labs arrived.
  • He killed 189 people in the mansion.
  • He would help Spooky achieve her goals, just like the other specimens.
  • While his kills are done off-screen the puppets seen here and his quote death screen of Dollhouse are evidence enough to put weight on his villainy.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is very fond of his puppets, this is seen in how he jumped into the river to save them and their "death" being the reason why he turned to villainy.
  • He has a tragic backstory, as his puppets were thrown into river by the jealous shop owners causing him to jump in never to be seen again, however it is minor since he would go to turn the kids into puppets who had nothing to do with his tragedy.
