Simon Fitzgerald, also known as the Purple Man, is the overarching antagonist of the POPGOES 2016 continuity of the POPGOES fangame series.
He is the posthumous overarching antagonist of POPGOES and its cancelled sequel POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest, an optional antagonist in POPGOES Arcade 2, and the unseen main antagonist of POPGOES Finale.
He is a serial child murderer that wants to achieve eternal life, and the twin brother of Jeremy Fitzgerald, now known as Fritz Glade.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Wants to achieve eternal life and didn't want to share it with anyone.
- Murdered 20+ children at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, starting in 1984. Typically in groups of five, but there were exceptions.
- Using the blood of the children, he got himself a second life and never shared it.
- Went to the 1987 Freddy's to see which children blood worked on him and which didn't.
- Attempted to dismantle Freddy Fazbear to gain the DNA of the corpse inside him.
- After people realised he is the Purple Man, he went into hiding.
- After the 1993 Freddy's shut down, he went there to complete his goal from 1987, now destroying all four animatronics.
- 30 years later, after being brought into Fazbear's Fright, he placed his soul straight into an arcade machine at the attraction, hacking it and shutting down the game when encountered.
- He psychologically abused Phone Dude by talking about his murders before killing him.
- After his second and final death at the Fazbear's Fright fire, his actions led to the creation of a robot replica of himself, the main antagonist of the entire 2016 continuity.

- He genuinely cares for his twin brother Jeremy, outright saving his life after The Bite of '87 by donating the blood of the murdered children.
- He mentions that he regretted some of the pain he caused through his murders.
Trivia[]
- Simon and Dead King Freddy are the only POPGOES villains to be considered Near Pure Evil.
- It's highly likely that his upcoming reboot counterpart will be as evil as this one.
