Sektor is one of the secondary antagonists of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
He is a deeply loyal and fierce Lin Kuei warrior who transformed into a cyborg. Sektor was the one of the moving force behind the Lin Kuei's Cyber Initiative, a mission to convert their clan into a much more powerful faction by turning their members into cyborg warriors. While it did succeed in a way, with their members being far more capable and deadly than they were before, it would come at the cost of their free will, something Sektor gladly traded away in favor of strengthening the Lin Kuei more.
He was voiced by Andrew Kishino in Mortal Kombat (2011), Vic Chao in Mortal Kombat X and Dave B. Mitchell in Mortal Kombat 11

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- As a proud member of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins, it is highly probable that he carried out many assassinations during his time.
- Even before being turned into a Cyborg he was already a cold and ruthless assassin who completely lacked empathy.
Original Timeline[]
- When the grandmaster initiated the cyber initiative to convert all the Lin Kuei assassins to Cyborgs, unlike most of the clan Sektor volunteered for the cyberization and was very supportive about the idea.
- Since many didn't want to be converted Sektor started hunting down and forcefully cyberizing all the remaining Lin Kuei members eventually leaving Sub-Zero as the only one left.
- Mercilessly Killed his father, the grandmaster, solely for power and the position as leader of the Lin Kuei.
- When he failed to take over the Lin Kuei in the Original Timeline he started his own clan of cyborg assassins called the Tekunin.
- During the events of Armageddon Sektor and his clan ambush and captures Taven who was searching for his weapon that had been left there. He then starts questioning Taven about the weapon while torturing him until Taven escapes when their base is attacked.
- Sektor also participates in the bloody Battle of Armageddon, likely killing many during it before eventually being killed himself.
Alternate Timeline[]
- In the second timeline, it is revealed he made a deal with Quan Chi for him to wipe out their rival clan, the Shirai Ryu, in exchange for assisting Shinnok in the upcoming Neatherrealm war.
- It is implied that he was the one who corrupted Bi-Han, making him partly responsible for some of his actions.
- When Quan Chi kills the Shirai Ryu, Sektor backpedals on their deal after Quan Chi resurrects Hanzo Hasashi as his servant Scorpion, declaring that the agreement was for "The letter not the spirit," and he owes Quan Chi nothing.
- When Cyrax questions his involvement with the clan due to the cyber initiative and chooses not to kill Johnny Cage he gets angry and later get into a fight with Cyrax.
- Later, both Cyrax and Sektor are seen automated and fully cyberized, which means that he forcefully made Cyrax undergo the Cyber Initiative.
- He attempts to capture Smoke for cyberization.
- After Sub-Zero defeats Scorpion he is captured by some Lin Kuei cyborgs Sektor makes a deal with Shao Kahn to take Sub-Zero in exchange for the Lin Kuei’s service which he accepts, Sub-Zero is then taken for forceful conversion.
- Sektor also played a major part of Shao Kahn's invasion force where he presumably killed many people as one of Shao Kahn's Generals.
- Later Under the pretense of a new mission, Sektor takes Cyber Sub-Zero to the Subway and informs him that he scanned his neural net, and knows he has been reprogrammed, with the two getting into fight, though he is soon defeated.
- Sektor also later attacks the temple where the Earthrealm warriors are at. During the attack, he battles Smoke and nearly kills him while mocking him for being weak and refusing to convert to a cyborg.
- When Kuai Liang attacks the base and uploads a virus to their system. Kuai Liang is eventually captured and Sektor plans to forcefully convert him back to a cyborg.
- When the past Sektor is brought back, he teams up with Kronika, someone who wants to destroy the universe, solely to further his own goals as Kronika promises to restore the cyber Lin Kuei.
- He also teams up the Frost and starts converting many members of the new Lin Kuei into cyborgs through a process that is shown to be extremely painful.
- When Kuai Liang and Hanzo attack the facility, Sektor confronts them and attempts to kill either one depending on who the player chooses though while mocking them in both cases.
- Sektor later leads an attack on the Special Forces Desert Command, to capture the past versions of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade and succeeds, though at the cost of his life after he is betrayed by Kano.
- Although Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi have done worse, they all have much more resources than him as he is simply just a Lin Kuei cyborg who only has weapons built into his cybernetics, thus the scale of his crimes allow him to stand out.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He was extremely loyal to the clan and to an extent, did truly care for his Lin Kuei brethren, genuinely believing that the Cyber Initiative would ultimately help them.
Trivia[]
- His New Era version can't qualify for NPE due to being bog-standard.
- His Khaos version also doesn't qualify as NPE due to being bog-standard and failing heinous standards.
