This, is the real me. The Scarlett I've kept hidden until now. Biding my time, waiting to strike. I. AM. EVIL!
~ Scarlett explaining her true nature.

Scarlett is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Sugar) of Total Drama: Pahkitew Island, the sixth season of the Canadian animated franchise Total Drama.

She is an apparently normal girl who joins Total Drama, bent on winning the million dollars prize like every contestant, making an alliance with Max. However, Scarlett turns out to be a truly malevolent person willing to force Chris McLean into giving her the prize money for her benefits.

She was voiced by Kristi Friday.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She traumatized her younger brother by programming his toys to come alive and attack him for six years, just because he pulled on her hair once.
    • Since then, her brother has been in therapy and it's unknown if he will ever overcome the trauma or not, which she feels no remorse over and shows how cruel she can be, even to her own family.
  • While attempting to look clever and smart, she assisted Max in sabotaging games and using it to hurt others like using blow darts to pops others balloons and using a electric eel to electrocute Ella, showing no remorse.
  • She sometimes dropped her facade during the early episodes to threaten some of the contestants, such as Topher, tricking him and then intentionally leaving him to die just for annoying her.
  • She took an hostile takeover of the artificial island, threatening to release missiles onto the island if she didn't get the money, and did actually proceed to shoot several missiles at Chris McLean and Chef Hatchet to try to kill them.
  • She sent a robotic bear to try and murder Max.
  • She tricked Shawn, Sky, Sugar, and Jasmine into a room filled with Chris McLean bots and made them go rogue in an attempt to have them all killed.
  • She tried to kill Max herself when she got tricked by him.
  • When she was defeated, she grinned happily when the self-destruction was nearly complete and was disappointed when Sky deactivated it, confirming that she was willing to die as long as everyone went down with her.
  • She passes the In-Story Standards due to her terrorism in “Scarlett Fever” as well as having a proper moral agency and directly trying to kill everyone who was left in the island by blowing up the place.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • While mostly taken seriously as a threat, she doesn't do enough to contradict the comedic nature of the show. Additionally, her entire defeat is played for laughs, as it involves her being shot out of a cannon with Max, the person she is annoyed by.

Trivia[]

  • Total Drama writer Terry McGurrin and Fresh TV executive Christine Thompson originally opined back in 2016 that Scarlett could possibly return in a future Total Drama season in spite of her actions in Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. Had this come to fruition if the show hadn't been cancelled in 2018 before being revived in 2023, it's possible that this could have affected Scarlett's Near Pure Evil status.
  • Scarlett is, alongside Mal, one of the only two official Total Drama villains to be Near Pure Evil.
