SCP-4666, also referred to as The Yule Man, is an antagonist in the SCP Foundation series. It is a humanoid figure that travels around the world killing families and kidnapping children, and because of this it is classified as Keter by the SCP Foundation.

SCP-4666 was originally an entry in the SCP-4000 contest and won the 17th place, before it was decided to be SCP-4666.

What Makes It Close to Being Pure Evil?

• For hundreds of years, it regularly commits an atrocious event called the Weissnacht event, which has killed thousands of people.
• During the event, it killed, tortured, and mutilated countless families (except for the youngest child) in gruesome fashion, including disembowelment, skinning, decapitation, bludgeoning, forced hemorrhaging, etc.
• After killing most of the family, it kidnaps the youngest children to enslave and torture them; forcing the children to make "toys" out of other children's remains while being burned and starved and any child who started slacking off got turned into "toys" by The Yule Man.
• Psychologically abusing, menacing, and traumatizing families by stalking them for days and leaving the children "toys" made of body parts.
• So far, it faced no punishment for its wrongdoings and has yet to be contained or terminated by the SCP Foundation.
• Despite the mythos's high heinous standard, it stands out with its limited resources, brutal murder methods and high body count.

What Prevents It from Being Pure Evil?

• It has moral agency issues due to its ambiguous perception between good and bad, as it potentially thinks it's doing the right thing. Though, this is a minor prevention due to how vague this is and how it is not thoroughly explained what the gift and capture modes mean in the Yule Man's point of view.
• It has very little character other than being sadistic, and possibly enjoying giving gifts to people.

Trivia

• It was originally approved as Pure Evil and even headlined on the said wiki, until its moral agency and characterization issues were brought to account. This makes it the second villain to do so, the first being Bradford Buzzard.
