Randy McGregor is a minor antagonist in the novel Dearly Devoted Dexter. He is a serial killer of young boys targeted by Dexter Morgan, a serial killer vigilante.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close To Pure Evil?[]
- He targets young boys who he meets through selling houses as a realtor. After abducting his victims or luring them to his boat in some way, he ties them up and rapes/molests them. When he is done “playing” with them, he either kills them and ties them to an anchor or throws them in the ocean while they are alive to drown them. He also has his accomplice, Steve Reiker take pictures of the torture inflicted on the young boys.
- When Dexter kidnaps him, he shows no remorse for his crimes and says as his last words, “I hope one of them was yours”.
- Despite having a ex-wife, there is no indication that he loved her or that he cares for Reiker.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- He fails the heinous standard to Father Donovan, who raped and killed at least 12 boys. Although Donovan is a priest, the resource gap isn’t big enough for him to stand out.
