Queen Usurna is a major antagonist in the Tales of Arcadia franchise, serving as a major antagonist of the first installment Trollhunters and an unseen antagonist in the third installment Wizards.
She is the Queen of the Krubera race and was a member of the Troll Tribunal. However, she was secretly a follower of Gunmar, who she helped in taking over Trollmarket after condemning Jim, the current Trollhunter, in a false trial. It's also revealed that she selected AAARRRGGHH!!! as Gunmar's champion. She is AAARRRGGHH!!!'s archenemy.
She was voiced by Anjelica Huston.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She selected Aarghaumont "AAARRRGGHH!!!" to become Gunmar's champion when he was a youngling to assist him during his war for the surface. In addition to selecting AAARRRGGHH!!!, she selected several other Krubera younglings to join Gunmar's army, meaning she was responsible for making child soldiers and having them fight in a war.
- This led to AAARRRGGHH!!!'s speech being permanently impaired as he was forced to adapt to survive during his brutal training with Gunmar, and he killed many innocent people as Gunmar's general.
- Although Usurna was not shown selecting him onscreen, it still had a significant impact on the story, and it caused AAARRRGGHH!!! to regret what he did and become a pacifist.
- As Usurna drowns to her demise, AAARRRGGHH!!! watches and sighs with a sad expression. It's not him expressing sympathy for Usurna, but rather him expressing disappointment after learning the truth of what she's really done.
- Although Usurna says she did it to ensure her own survival and traded the younglings as a "sacrifice" (which would make this action even less forgivable), she still had no real reason other than just out of pure sadism and fanaticism, and to earn Gunmar's favor just to ensure more power for herself as a bonus.
- She had her Krubera soldiers participate in a deadly game called PyroBligst. The teammates in this game are even allowed to kill each other.
- She used the Troll Tribunal's fear of Gunmar to manipulate them into keeping Jim trapped in the Darklands.
- She even convinced the Tribunal to put the pieces of Killahead Bridge in shipping crates that would dump into the ocean, despite the fact that Gunmar wouldn't escape the Darklands. This was just so she could keep Jim trapped and prevent him from interfering with her plans for total domination over trollkind.
- She and her agents helped Gunmar escape before framing Jim for it and sentencing him to an unfair trial, where he was forced to either give up his amulet or be sent to the Deep, a place that no one has survived in, where he would have to confront his greatest fear.
- She killed Vendel, the Elder of Trollmarket, by stabbing him in the stomach and turning him into stone in a painful process, just to ensure she isn't caught working for Gunmar. She then mocked him by sarcastically apologizing that he wouldn't be able to see Gunmar's return before shattering his stone corpse.
- While making a speech to the citizens of Trollmarket, she lied about Jim's death and said that he also murdered Vendel before revealing her true allegiance to Gunmar as she introduces them to him, which sets off the beginning of his takeover of Trollmarket.
- She did nothing to protect the other members of the Troll Tribunal and her own bodyguards, even allowing one of the council members, Bork, to be brainwashed into a Gumm-Gumm by Gunmar. She later added her bodyguards to his army.
- She suggested to Gunmar that they should use nuclear weapons to decimate civilizations during his conquest of the surface.
- Although she did try to convince Gunmar into sparing Dictatious, she clearly only did that because she thought she could use him and when he was about to get killed by Gunmar, she did nothing. She later sent a group of goblins to kill Dictatious after he escaped, leading to his redemption.
- While she did show concern when Nomura threatened to kill herself, this was only because she needed to use a Changeling to free Morgana and needed her alive, thus making it dishonorable and not genuine.
- She disguised herself as Barbara Lake and pretended to be captured in order to force Stickler to release Morgana, since Gunmar said he would spare her.
- She had her own bodyguards torture and brutalize AAARRRGGHH!!! to teach him a lesson.
- After her bodyguards discovered that she is a traitor who only cares about herself, she felt no remorse for her actions and tried to drown AAARRRGGHH!!! in a pit of mud.
- Although she claimed that her actions were for the good of the Krubera, it's clear that she only cared about helping herself. Notably, while confronting Nomura, the Changeling had petrified one of her Krubera bodyguards with Usurna's Creeper's Sun dagger and escapes. Usurna was clearly angrier about the fact that Nomura escaped rather than the fact that she killed one of her Krubera Trolls, thus showing no empathy nor mourning for her own trolls. When AAARRRGGHH!!! confronts Usurna about this, she even said that "she was the Krubera," further proving that she had no actual care for her own people. When the Krubera turn on her for this, Usurna continues to insult them and swear revenge, which only leads to herself drowning to a 100% deserved death.
- Despite working for Gunmar and never betraying him, she didn't actually care about him. She just served him out of fanaticism, and that she could gain more power over trollkind.
- Unlike Gunmar, who was born from a corrupted Heartstone, Usurna has a clear moral agency due to being a naturally born troll.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She fails the heinous standard, since it's not shown exactly how many other Krubera younglings were selected to be soldiers or how much of an impact that had, causing the full extent to rely on Fridge Horror. And though she did support Gunmar's plan to destroy humanity, there were several other villains who also were large supporters of it. However, her selecting AAARRRGGHH!!! to be Gunmar's champion, along with other Krubera, are both unique crimes that, along with her assisting Gunmar, makes her stand out enough for this to be a minor prevention.

- Usurna is the only female NPE in Tales of Arcadia.
- Usurna was previously classified as PE, but she was later removed.
- Nonetheless, she's currently the only NPE in Tales of Arcadia who doesn't have any redeemable qualities as a prevention.
