Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She and her brother were resentful of the fairies who lived in the moors and during a harsh winter, wanted to take what they wanted from them by force.
- She spread the Sleeping Beauty story, giving Maleficent a bad reputation.
- She has a servant called Lickspittle, a fairy whose wings Ingrith had cut off.
- She has numerous fairies captured and subjected to experiments to find out what would kill them until she discovers they die from red iron dust.
- During dinner, Ingrith secretly sticks her own husband King John with a needle to subject him to a sleep from which he can never awake. She frames Maleficent for the deed and tries to kill her.
- She invites the magical creatures of the moors to the wedding between Aurora and Prince Philip where she tries to kill them all by releasing red iron dust over them and manages to murder many of them.
- When Aurora discovers her operations, Ingrith has her imprisoned.
- She kills Maleficent and gloats about her death.
- She throws Aurora off a tower while she makes her escape.
- She pretends to care about her kingdom, her subjects and family, but throughout the course of the story, it's all revealed to be fake.
- Even though she has a Freudian Excuse of losing her brother when he is killed by the fairies, her homeland being subjected to harsh winter and her father being overthrown by the populace which leads to her losing her royal status and being exiled, it's not played for sympathy by the story and in the present she is mostly motivated by lust for power.
- Furthermore, she wasn't a particularly good person even before losing her brother as the two of them advised their father to attack the fairies and take whatever they want by force.
- While her punishment by being turned into a goat is rough, this does not make her a scapegoat as she completely deserved it for everything she did and while they did say that she will only revert back to normal if she change her ways, the chances of this are mostly unlikely
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She seems to care about her brother.
- She says the two of them shared the same idea of taking what they want from the fairies by force, she specifically mentions his death as one of the reasons why she hates fairies and insults the fairies who killed him by calling them "savages" and "creatures who could barely grunt, let alone engage in talks".
Trivia[]
- She was initially Pure Evil when it was believed she either faked the story of her brother's death or was unaffected by it; however, after reconsideration, she was demoted to Near Pure Evil when it was proven her care for her brother was genuine and a motivation for her hatred towards fairies.
