| NOTE: This article only talks about the mainstream Professor Calamitous, as the Professor Calamitous from Nicktoons Unite! is Pure Evil. Hence, only information regarding the mainstream Professor Calamitous should be put here. |

| ~ Calamitous |
Professor Finbarr Calamitous is the main antagonist of Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron franchise.
He is a devious mad scientist who desires to conquer the world, bringing him into conflict with Jimmy Neutron along with many of the latter's friends on multiple occasions. Despite his dangerous ambitions, he is known for his peculiar quirk of apparently never being able to finish anything at the end of his explanations, from complete sentences to his very own inventions.
He serves as one of the three arch-nemeses (alongside King Goobot and Eustace Strych) of Jimmy Neutron. He is also the father of Beautiful Gorgeous, and the former student of Ms. Fowl.
He was voiced by Tim Curry, who also voiced Maestro Forte in Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and Nero in The Story Keepers.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- While he has several comedic moments, most notably involving himself having a running gag of being incapable of finishing stuff (which also includes completing sentences), he is still taken seriously in-universe, as his crimes are still taken seriously, and by his final appearance in The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide!, his running gag of his inability to complete stuff is absent.
- While in his debut he does claim to want to take revenge on the people that mocked him for his inability to complete stuff (even saying the names they called him stung), this was only mentioned to be his motivation in his debut episode, as beyond that, he seems more interested in conquering the world than getting back at the people who mocked him and never even mentions this again.
- While he does have a tragedy of being failed by Miss Fowl for not being able to finish anything (including sentences), this does not make him tragic at all due to that event happening when he was young, and it's shown in the various appearances he makes that he's most likely forgotten or glossed over his tragedy.
- While he does team up with Anti-Cosmo and even released the Anti-Fairies for him in The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide!, his reasons for doing so are entirely pragmatic as the latter falsely promised to help him destroy Jimmy, and while he does team up with Jorgen at one point in the special, this too is entirely pragmatic to free himself and Jorgen out of prison, and they are later shown bickering with each other when they merge.
TV Series[]
- After stealing Goddard, he then traps Neutron to try to force him into building a machine that would help him take over Retroville.
- After Jimmy escapes, he chases after him and tried to shoot him down.
- He captures Jimmy and Jet Fusion.
- He attempts to flood Earth just to showcase his own villainy to the world.
- Along with Beautiful Gorgeous, he chases after Jimmy and Jet Fusion when they were trying to get away.
- He informs Jimmy and his friends that they need to get an egg to save the world, but in reality, Calamitous wanted the egg so that he could enslave the planet.
- He traps Jimmy and his friends inside a forcefield in order to prevent them from foiling his plans.
- He pretends to be Quentin Smithee and got Jimmy and his friends to work on a set with him, where Calamitous repeatedly tried to kill them.
- He tries to have Jimmy to convince his friends to continue the movie production despite the obvious danger.
- He works with Jimmy's various other enemies to put a stop to him.
- Along with Eustace Strych, he uses music to keep Jimmy’s friends permanently dancing so they couldn’t stop his plans, though they were able to break free.
- He attempts to kill Jimmy, his friends, and the redeemed Space Bandits.
The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide![]
- He robs the bank with Sydney Moist but betrays him after by launching him out of his robot (possibly killing him) for not keeping an eye out for Jimmy.
- He joins forces with Anti-Cosmo to release the anti-fairies.
- He causes havoc throughout Retroville after he accidentally fused with Jorgen such as releasing a dinosaur on its citizens, imprisoning Jimmy’s parents and Goddard in carbonite, turning Cindy into a fish, and turning Timmy and Jimmy into snails.
- He tries to blow up the universe to recreate it in his own image using a bomb he created using Jorgen's magic.
What Prevents Him From Pure Evil?[]
- He slightly fails the heinous standard to Shirley who attempted to destroy two universes. Resources don't help him since he is a genius who gains fairy magic, which Shirley also had.
- He is shown to be affable in some episodes, such as his debut where he rang on the doorbell when he could have taken Goddard (Jimmy’s robotic dog) by force and even helped Hugh clean the chimney free of charge (though he said that singing and dancing would cost extra). He even tells Carl that he’ll receive a “charming gift basket” when he rules the world when he destroys Jimmy’s Null-Generator and also lets Carl finish his croissant.
- He also cares about his daughter, Beautiful Gorgeous, despite bickering with her on occasions. Since she’s never seen again after League of Villains, it’s likely she died in the dinosaur era, meaning he has nothing left to lose by destroying the universe and didn’t subvert his care for her.
Trivia[]
- His Nicktoons Unite! counterpart counts as Pure Evil due to passing the heinous standards and lacking any of the redeeming qualities his main counterpart has. Interestingly enough, he is also the Silly type like his main counterpart.
