- He makes his mother show disgust at his marriage to a French woman - an enemy country to England.
- He doesn't help his brother in his war at all and doesn't keep up to date, showing that he doesn't really care.
- When Robin Longstride gives him his brother's crown (which he brought after risking his life), he stops him from rewarding him by discovering that the people of the place he came from did not pay taxes.
- After coming to power, he orders the doubling of taxes, especially for the North of England.
- He lets Sir Godfrey get an army to massacre opponents of tax payments, causing the French war on England.
- On that occasion he fires William Marshal, only because he opposed the doubling of taxes.
- He mocks his mother the most and makes her angry until she contradicts him. Later she also disappears from the palace, perhaps so that she will not be punished.
- While he did disavow Godfrey's attempt to fight in the north, this is only when he discovered that he was helping the French.
- When he finds out about Godfrey's infidelity he reacts with anger and almost hurts his wife, almost driving her to commit suicide.
- He comes to the North to negotiate with them a joint war against the French and Godfrey's men while ceasing the massacre, though it was for pragmatic reasons.
- He motivates the Northerners to massacre the French.
- After the war he claims that he was made king by God and breaks his promises to cancel the taxes, even burdening them more.
- Despite all of Robin Longstride's help and his personal promise that he will be pardoned, it makes him a wanted outlaw.
- Overall he responsible for the crimes of Godfrey and the French and killing them in them with the help of the North, makes him responsible for most of the deaths in the film And he wasn't even punished, Karma Houdini remained.

- His actions fall short in comparison to Sir Godfrey who is much more successful.
- He cares for his family, motivates his wife to commit suicide to prove loyalty to him, in addition to regretting what he said to his mother (after she slapped him).
