| NOTE: This page is only about his TV incarnation, as his novel version fails to pass the standards of the books story. |

His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is one of the many Lannister mooks that ambush a group of Night's Watch recruits headed to the Wall, which results in the death of their recruiter, Yoren, and several others.
- During the assault, Polliver incapacitates Arya Stark and steals her sword from her.
- When he then notices a helpless boy with a wounded leg on the ground, he feigns concern, even offering to carry him, only to then sadistically murder him by driving the sword through his chin.
- In Harrenhal, he beats up a defenseless old woman just for asking him for a little bit of bread (Arya learns his name through this and puts him on her kill list for that).
- He is involved in the procedures at Harrenhal where prisoners are brutally tortured to death under the commands of Gregor Clegane.
- When Tywin Lannister arrives and stops the torture due to how unnecessary and wasteful it is, he tries to defend it.
- He beats up and threatens Arya just for looking at him.
- He and a few henchmen commit robberies at a tavern.
- In Season 4, it's revealed that he left the employ of Gregor after helping torture several more people because he grew bored of it stating "You spend enough time putting the hammer to people, you start to feel like a carpenter making chairs."
- When The Hound and Arya are entering, Polliver and his men are preparing to gang-rape the daughter of the innkeeper, the latter of whom they threaten with taking her as a sex slave upon his protest.
- Recognizing The Hound, he explains that they are using the fact that the war against Robb Stark is won to rape, rob and pillage their way through the Riverlands, and asks The Hound if he wants to join them.
- When The Hound makes it clear that he's not interested, he calls him a coward for leaving the battle of Blackwater.
- When The Hound demands chickens, he offers to give them to him if he gives them Arya so they can rape her (who's just 13 years old at this point), and even mentions that one of them, Lowell, would want to beat Arya up while committing the act.
- His fate is played for satisfying poetic justice; in a fight that ensues after The Hound asserts his freedom from the Crown, Polliver and his men are easily defeated by The Hound and Arya, the latter of whom injures his leg and retells the dialogue he exchanged with Lommy, the boy he murdered; when he remembers her, she promptly kills him the exact same way that he killed Lommy (by stabbing him through the chin and leaving him to choke on his own blood).
- He has no redeeming qualities, and despite only appearing in three episodes, he stands out as a very repulsive individual, even for the world of Game of Thrones.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He somewhat fails the heinous standards to Karl Tanner, who did worse with similar resources, mainly because Karl didn't share to his allies.
