Near Pure Evil Wiki
NOTE: This page is only for the Pharaoh's characterization in Islamic theology, considering the Judeo-Christian counterpart was not voted Near Pure Evil. Therefore, only the Islamic version's info and crimes should be listed here.

I know not that you have a god other than me, so kindle for me, O Haman, to bake clay, and set up a tower in order that I may look at the God of Moosa; and verily, I think that he is one of the liars.
~ The Pharaoh's order to his minister, Haman, to spite Moses.

The Pharaoh, also known as the Firaun, is a major antagonist in the Quran, being the main antagonist of the Quranic story of Moses. He is the arrogant ruler of Egypt who commits genocide against the Children of Israel to protect his rule over Egypt.

He is the Islamic interpretation of the Judeo-Christian villain.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Ge caused the genocide on the children of Israel for decades to remain in power.
  • He only limited the genocide of the children of Israel to preserve the population for slave labor.
  • He knew what he was doing was immoral but was too arrogant to recognize the error of his ways. He would be obstinate even when he saw Moses split the sea.
  • He crucified 2 magicians for believing and following Moses.
  • He tortured and then murdered his wife Asiyah for following Moses.
  • He murdered one of his servants for merely saying "In the Name of God" by throwing her into molten copper, he also made her watch him murder her children right before
  • The main reason for why he opposed Moses was not due to Pharaoh wanting to uphold the law after Moses's (accidental) murder, but because Pharaoh feared Moses would strip Pharaoh of his power.
  • He attempted to capture and kill the children of Israel during the Exodus.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is affable to his second in command, Haman, as he is never shown to mistreat him and seems to value him more than his other advisors.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only villain in Islamic theology to be Near Pure Evil, as all other villains either fail the Heinous Standards or have too many redeeming qualities to qualify.
    • He is one of the two Near Pure Evil's from the mainstream Abrahamic religions, along with the Antichrist.
  • Cementing his Near Pure Evil status, the Pharaoh is said to be the worst human in human history, suffering the worst punishment in hellfire besides the hypocrites, the term for traitors who lie about their faith and backstab the believers.
