Project Manager Paula Miner is the overarching antagonist of the visual novel game Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!. She is the project manager of the VM1 simulator and creator of Monika and the other girls, being responsible for the events of the game.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Despite not physically appearing in the visual novel, the emails she shares with her co-workers expose her as a borderline sociopath woman who is completely apathetic to Monika's suffering.
  • She created the world of Doki Doki Literature Club! and its side stories to figure out whether her world was a simulation.
  • She was the one who gave Monika elevated permissions, granting her self-awareness, to see how she would react to the reality of her existence.
  • She is indirectly responsible for Monika's worst actions being fully aware of her predicament but dismisses her as just lines of code not too different from insects and bacteria.
  • She constantly reboots the world of DDLC to advance her research. This would result in Monika destroying her world repeatedly one of the coworkers stating that she had done so four times prior. The game also indicates that there were other worlds that Paula remorselessly destroyed for the sake of her research.
  • Despite not crossing as many Moral Event Horizons as Monika, even considering the former has far more resources than the latter, Paula still passes the Heinous Standards by being the character indirectly responsible for all of the events that have happened in DDLC, as she was the one to have elevated Monika's permissions in the first place, which resulted in her suffering and in-turn caused her to commit many horrible acts in the narrative.
  • She gets away with her unethical experiments, saying it was time for her team to move on to their next project.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Although only vaguely shown by one of her emails, she shows genuine care for a coworker called Ive. In her email, she also directly apologizes to them specifically about the negative mental impacts they had sustained from involvement in her experiment.

Trivia[]

  • She Is The Only DDLC Villain To Be NPE.
