Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria is the main protagonist of the Netflix TV show Narcos and a guest character in its sequel Narcos Mexico. He serves as the main protagonist of Season 1 and 2 and the posthumous overarching protagonist in Season 3.
He is a Colombian drug trafficker who was considered the king of cocaine, the biggest drug lord in history and the richest drug dealer in the world.
He was portrayed by Wagner Moura.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- He is the biggest drug trafficker in history, which leads to a lot of deaths and chaos in his and other countries.
- Over the years, he killed over a thousand police officers, as confirmed by Agent Murphy. And also caused the death of many other civilians which also includes many children.
- Even though he says that he wants to make his country great and while he also gives people money and is good to them, it is completely hypocritical as he killed many civilians and doesn't care or show any remorse to them.
- He met his wife when she was thirteen years old and he was twenty four years old, and she also brought his first child when she was fifteen, meaning that Pablo committed statutory rape.
Season 1[]
- Before the show, he took part in small time criminal activities during his childhood to support his family and bring money to himself.
- He bribed many police officers and politicians and if they didn’t take his money, he killed them.
- He illegally imported many exotic animals.
- He made a lot of money laundering businesses.
- He's in a way responsible for the many deaths in Miami that happened because of the drugs he sold all over it.
- He killed Cockroach and some other police officers that got him arrested.
- He recruited many children to work with him and even had some of them kill people and sell drugs.
- He sends a hitman named Poison to kill some cops.
- He kills Rodrigo who is the prime minister of justice because he exposed his true identity in the Colombian House of Representatives.
- He launched an organization called Death to Kidnappers, where he hunts and kills M19 members, which makes him a hypocrite as he is a kidnapper himself and this even caused more problems and more kidnappings than it ever solved.
- While he does love his wife, he also cheats on her many times.
- He made another organization named The Extraditables with the goal to get extradition banned, which caused the the death of about 30 judges.
- He sent the M19 group to attack the government andtTerrorize them, which resulted in the death of hundreds.
- Later, he killed the commander of the M19 Group and a couple of his people just because he didn’t need him anymore.
- He assassinated a presidential candidate.
- He ordered the bombing of an Avianca Flight, which caused the death of over 100 people, hoping to kill a presidential candidate that was not on board.
- He sends Poison to kill a witness.
- He starts the Colombian hostage crisis, as he kidnaps many of powerful politicians' families, hold them, and starts killing them one by one until the government agrees to his demands.
- He attempted to kill Pacho Herrera at a football match and kills nearly all of the other players.
- He makes a deal with the Colombian Government so he can make his own prison.
- While he is in prison, nothing changes as he still traffics crazy amounts of cocaine to America and Colombia and other countries.
- He killed Moncada and Galeano just because he thought they lied to him or betrayed him and then cut them into pieces and burned them.
- He takes the vice minister of justice as a hostage before he escapes.
Season 2[]
- He escapes from jail and causally walks through the military with no harm.
- He kills Jamie because he thought Pablo was weak and also sends a message to his sister Judy Moncada and Don Burner that he was to be respected and not to be messed with.
- He sends one of his henchmen, Quica, to kill some girls he thought snitched on his organization.
- He attacks the army and kills many soldiers and also personally kills Colonel Carrillo to avenge his cousin.
- He sends his henchmen to massacre many police officers and bombs many of their cars and stations.
- He bombed the wedding of the daughter of Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, one of the Cali cartel bosses, which had many casualties and injured people. Even Rodriguez was disgusted by this act, calling Escobar a man with no decency.
- He tells his henchmen that he wants to go to war with the Cali Cartel and this leads the murders of many civilians.
- He bombs many cars and stores, which causes many civilians to die, most of them children.
- He threatens the German Embassy and their airport just because they wouldn’t let his family come to the country.
- Before he died, he killed some of the people who came to take him down.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is somewhat sympathetic, as near the end of the show, he loses everything including his family as he can’t see them, and this part of his life is treated with some sympathy by the show.
- No matter how bad he became, he still loves his family as he loves his wife, son and daughter and he treats them very nicely, an example shown is when his daughter felt cold, he burned two million dollars just for her. He also loves his mother and his cousin Gustavo as when he died he got very emotional and sad.
- He showed bewilderment and even disgust towards Gacha for shooting his dog to death, even getting distracted contemplating the corpse in mourning, demonstrating some standards.

- Pablo Escobar is the biggest drug lord in history. He was making fifty million dollars a day and he was at some point the seventh richest person on the planet.
