I am the Messiah! Hahahahaha!
~ Omega's most famous quote.
noicon

Omega is the secondary antagonist of the Mega Man Zero series. Weil's top and loyal enforcer, he is refered as the "God of Destruction" due to the damage he caused during the Elf Wars.

He was voiced by Junichi Suwabe, who also voiced Amalthus.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He aided Dr. Weil in his goal of controlling all Reploids by getting the approval of Project Elpizo and instigating the Elf Wars, that would be even more destructive than the Maverick Wars.
  • Under Weil's command, he caused/contributed to the deaths of 90% of reploids and 60% of humans in the world.
  • He attempted to brainwash all of the world's reploids through the Mother Elf.
  • For his enormous crimes he would be exiled to the Earth's orbit in the Forbidden Ark.
  • Upon returning to Earth, he would easily beat Fefnir and Leviathan, then would fight against Zero, being defeated but he recovered. Harpuia would appear and be beaten too, Omega would kill Harpuia if not for the Resistance teleporting him and Zero.
  • After absorbing the Dark Elf, he would move on to kill Zero and Harpuia again if not for the Resistance teleporting them once more.
  • Through Weil's Project Elpizo, he took control of all reploids, with Zero being the only one unaffected. He would use the resistance reploids to attack Zero and Ciel if not for X using his power to stop the brainwashing.
  • He would fight against Zero empowered by the Dark Elf and lose again.
  • Enraged by his loss, he would turn into a giant amalgam of himself, X and Zero, trying to kill the latter again.
  • After getting defeated once more, revealing his true form with Zero's original body, he would be praised by Dr. Weil for his destructive nature. Shortly after, Omega would declare himself to be a messiah, showing how proud he is of his atrocities and laughing before fighting Zero one last time.
  • While he's designed to be a machine of destruction, Omega have a clear moral agency as he showed a great pride of his heinous actions and viewed himself as a messiah.
  • While he's shown to be loyal to Dr. Weil, this loyalty is too ambiguous to be considered as a redeeming quality. Considered that Omega viewed himself as a savior, it is likely that he may treated Dr. Weil as below him.
  • While he was following Dr. Weil's orders, Weil wouldn't have been heinous if it wasn't for Omega so he managed to stands out.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He suffers from insufficient characterization, having only one notable quote. This quote, however, shows megalomania, a god complex, and pride of his own heinousness, thus having enough characterization to avoid being a Generic Doomsday Villain.

Trivia[]

  • While currently Near Pure Evil, it's a popular theory among Mega Man fans that Omega has been programmed to be a mindless killing machine due to his lack of characterization and Weil's brainwashing of the Eight Gentle Judges. However, as of now there is not confirmation or even implications of it, keeping him Near Pure Evil. If this is confirmed however, it could affect his Near Pure Evil status, possibly changing it to Inconsistently Heinous.
