Near Pure Evil Wiki

Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines

  • An article is featured every month, or at the admins' discretion.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • CHEATING WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED. Any user who starts downvoting candidates just to rig the results or go asking other users to vote on his candidate will receive a warning and, in case of re-incidence, a one month ban. No exceptions.
  • The use of sockpuppets in NPEFH is extremely forbidden, resulting in the permanent ban of the sockpuppet's account(s) and the deletion of the nomination.
  • Once a vote has been posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote invalidated by an admin, it is forbidden to go back and edit your vote to make your invalidated vote valid again. Doing so will result in a week ban, NO exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a Near Pure Evil can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to NPEFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a Near Pure Evil is downvoted 3 times, the Near Pure Evil can not be proposed again until 12 months has passed after the last proposal. Bringing the Near Pure Evil back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the Near Pure Evil must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.
  • Only nominate a Near Pure Evil that has a page on the wiki at the time you nominated them. Nominations for Near Pure Evils without pages will be removed.
  • Only nominate Near Pure Evils that have already been approved. Nominations for unapproved Near Pure Evils will be removed.
  • Users cannot headline their own OCs, nor can they ask other users to headline them on their behalf. However, other users can headline OCs not of their own origin on their own volition.

Suggestions

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Do not vote against a Near Pure Evil if you have not read their article yet.
  • Do not vote against a Near Pure Evil just because you know nothing about them.
  • Do not say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you are going to vote against a nomination, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" are not valid arguments.

Nightmare (Soul Calibur)

  • February will mark the 30th anniversary of Soul Edge, the first installment of the Soulcalibur series which was released back in 1996. While Nightmare didn't debut in this particular installment, he does go own to become the most prominently featured antagonist in the series as a whole. Given that he is the only character from the series that is on this site, he would make a great candidate to be headlined to honor this particular milestone.
  • Yeah, I’m so down for this one. I remember Nightmare being one of my favorite characters to play as way back in my younger days. But just the fact that the Soul series itself will be decades old now... it’s just so surreal... What’s even more surreal is that this is my first vote in 2026 being on the ranking community now the fact that it’ll it take a long time for me to get use to it lol.
  • I'm genuinely sorry for this, but from what I heard Nightmare doesn't even count for this wiki due to his very screwed up moral agency. And considering how this wiki's headlines are currently suffering from non-trustworthy candidates, I want to avoid to get another untrustyworthy candidate here.

Ray Bulgarin

  • GTA IV, a game released in 2008, redefined the gaming world in its storytelling, and Ray Bulgarin is no stranger to this. He is the overarching antagonist of the main game, and the primary antagonist of The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC, he is a feared Russian crime lord reputed and notorious for being a human trafficker, not so long ago, his ship sunk underwater where he would lose a great sum of his money in which he would subsequently blame our poster boy Niko Bellic and go after him, he would also go on to enter Luis Lopez' life and lord knows what would happen. Alas, I believe Ray's ruthlessness and his status as a powerful human trafficking crime lord might earn him a special place and to recognize how underrated this villain was.
  • Since the game was released in 2008, I would for another 2 more years since it'll turn 20 years old then. Though I really don't play these kinds of games, I think it would make more sense to do so.

The Shop Owner

  • The episode he appeared in is all about sweets, and said episode is even called 'Sweets'. Valentine's Day is next month, and there are plenty of sweets during it, such as candy apples, love hearts, and many others. To make him more related to this, he is the owner of a sweet shop, and prentends to give children sweets, but instead turns them into shop window dummies by mixing them in a giant mixing bowl of papier mache. Considering that he is one of the only geniunely serious villains in the series, I think that his NPE-status is likely to last for a long time, and that he should be on the main page.
