Nakime (鳴女 Nakime) is a major antagonist in the dark fantasy action manga/anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
She is a demon that serves as the controller behind the Infinity Castle, the main headquarters of Muzan Kibutsuji and the rest of the demon kind. She later became the newly appointed Upper Four Demon of the Twelve Kizuki Demons following the death of her predecessor, Hantengu.
She was voiced by Marina Inoue in Japanese, while she was voiced by Amber Lee Connors in English.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She killed her husband with a hammer. Even though her husband was a bad person who wasted her money, his murder was very excessive and brutal.
- She killed an indefinite number of people just so she could play the biwa well.
- She accepted Muzan's offer to turn her into a Demon. This makes her one of the only ones, along with Kokushibo, Doma, Hantengu, Gyokko, and Kaigaku, to have been transformed into a demon completely with consent. Additionally, it is shown that being a demon did not turn her evil, as she was already evil to begin with.
- As a demon, she served Muzan, coming in handy with her ability to teleport. It is also likely that she ate humans in order to live and gain power, but since she does not seem to move from the fortress, this is only speculation.
- She teleported the remaining Lower Moons, leading to the deaths of 4 of them. Even it is possible that she did not know that Muzan was going to kill them, she remained very unsympathetic and impassive in the face of this massacre.
- She leaked Kaguya's hiding place to Muzan, leading Muzan to go there and kill him, which forced Kaguya to carry out a suicide attack killing him, his wife and two of his children. If she had not revealed the hiding place to Muzan, all this would not have happened, making her one of those responsible for these deaths (although it must be admitted that Kaguya was in very poor health and would have died soon anyway).
- She teleported the entire Demon Slayer Corps to the Infinite Fortress, making her responsible for all the deaths that resulted.
- Thanks to her power, she isolated the Demon Slayers and sent them to confront powerful demons, making her responsible for the deaths of Shinobu by Douma and Muichiro and Genya by Kokushibo.
- She tried to kill Mitsuri and Obanai as Muzan does not seem surprised when he receives the false vision of Mitsuri and Obanai's corpses showing that Nakime was trying to kill them.
- Despite the high heinous standards of Demon Slayer, she manages to stand out with her lack of resources and the fact that she is one of the only demons to have such a bloody past as a human.
- Although it can be said that she had a tragic past living under the roof of a husband who wasted his money, it doesn’t hold up as she far exceeds her tragedy by killing numerous people who had nothing to do with her past just for her selfish desire to play Biwa well and those people had nothing to do with what her husband did to her. Not to mention her actions as a demon shows she is no longer motivated by her tragedy at all.
- Although her death at the hands of Muzan was brutal and depressing to some extent given her loyalty to him, she still deserved to die for all of her evil deeds.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She is sincerely loyal to Muzan, being honored when he compliments her and following his orders without question.
