You've fulfilled your purpose, Mr. Winters. You disposed of my false children and awakened the glorious Megamycete. Now, please do not worry for little Rose. I assure you I'll provide her with true happiness. So now you can die peacefully... And permanently.
~ Mother Miranda during the final battle against Ethan Winters.
My daughter... MY EVA!
~ Mother Miranda's last words.

Mother Miranda is one of the overarching antagonists (alongside Oswell E. Spencer and James Marcus) of the Resident Evil franchise.

She is the overarching antagonist of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the main antagonist of its sequel Resident Evil Village and it’s DLC Shadows of Rose.

She is the leader of the cult known as the Four Houses, who have houses across the European Village. She is also a head scientist of the crime syndicate known as the Connections, who discovered the mold when she also created Eveline. Her actions also helped set the stage for several events throughout the series.

In Japanese, she is voiced by Sayaka Kinoshita in her true form, Kiyoko Miyazawa as "The Hag" and Akari Higuchi as Mia Winters. In English, she is voiced by Michelle Lukes in her true form, Carol Stanzione as "The Hag" and Katie O'Hagan as Mia Winters.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • Despite being was infected by the Megamycete and made her crazier and evil, she is still able to understand the differences between right and wrong, given her intelligent and sadistic nature, so she has a full moral agency.
  • Despite having a sympathetic motivation of wanting to revive her late daughter, Eva, Miranda went too far past it. She was a power-crazed, insane, and sadistic cult leader who ruled her territory as a Goddess and Messiah, using anyone in her path, including her loyal followers and the dangerous and powerful Four Lords, to revive her daughter, even resorting to kidnapping an infant and mutilating her to use a vessel for Eva. *Cruel and sadistic, Miranda would isolate her followers in a remote village, eventually killing all of them and turning many into dangerous canine-like monsters, with her kidnapping and experiments on the Four Lords turning them into dangerous villains. Her criminal ties would result in the creation of Eveline, who would become psychotic and family-obsessed, being responsible for the Dulvey Incident where Eveline would infect the Baker Family and force them to abduct and kill countless lives in order to create her own “Family”. Worse of all, her actions in taking in Oswell E. Spencer as her protégé and teaching him of the means of mutation would inspire him to establish Umbrella Corporation as a means to achieve his goals of human evolution and changing the world, making Miranda the overarching root behind the establishment of Umbrella and all of the atrocities the company would commit and cause, with her actions essentially causing everything in the Resident Evil universe to happen.

Early Life[]

  • After she lost her daughter Eva to the Spanish Flu, Miranda, driven to despair, ventured into a nearby cave intending to commit suicide. However, before she could end her life, she came across a massive and ancient fungal super-colony, which she dubbed "The Mold", of which upon touching Miranda saw the memories of hundreds and thousands of people consumed by the fungus over the centuries, and among them was Eva herself. Believing she could use the Mold to bring back her daughter, Miranda came to revere this substance as "The Black God" and begin her descent into villainy.
  • Upon returning to her village, Miranda infected several villagers with the Mold, curing them of their sicknesses. Even though she cured some of the villagers like the white haired girl in the credit story, some of them turned into Lycans like the white haired Girl's father, Miranda only did this to bolster her status as a god amongst the village.
  • She would give sermons at the local church, proclaiming herself a prophet of the Black God, where the villagers, under the mind-altering effects of the Mold, would abandon their Christian faith, converting to Miranda’s new pagan cult, addressing her as "Mother Miranda".
  • For decades Miranda would rule the village as a goddess and divine deity, whilst continuously conducting experiments on the villagers.
  • Over subsequent decades of research, Miranda conducted research on the Mold from makeshift labs beneath the village, eventually creating the "Cadou", a parasitic nematode altered by the Mold. Miranda would implant various people including peasants to nobles with the Cadou with the goal of creating a superhuman host for the Eva copy to manifest within.
  • Many of Miranda’s test subjects failed, either dying or mutating into Lycans; extremely dangerous canine-like monsters, of whom she'd cast out of the village in order to keep the remaining townsfolk alive for future research.
    • Because she had cast them out, Miranda is responsible for the Lycans uniting in packs, making their den in the ruins of a medieval fort, and the casualties of the Lycans’ raids on the village.
  • The most promising candidates of Miranda's Cadou experiments were descendants of the Four Kings who ruled over the region: Alcina Dimitrescu, Karl Heisenberg, Donna Beneviento, and Salvatore Moreau who all developed aggressive mutations. Although none of them were suitable vessels for Eva, Miranda recognized their ancient feudal rule over the region, placing them as the lords of the Four Houses, who would rule over the region with tyrannical control, however Miranda would never allow them to leave and escape her control, nor every truly caring for them, only using the Lords in her goal of reviving Eva.
  • Due to her experimentations on the Four Lords and her placing them in charge of the Four Houses, Miranda is directly responsible for each Lords’ descent into villainy and nefarious actions.
  • Because of mutating her, Miranda is responsible for Alcina Dimitrescu becoming a blood-lusted, sadistic and monstrous vampire and the countless lives she would slaughter in her aristocratic and cruel life.
    • Upon Miranda implanting a Cadou Parasite within her, Alcina Dimitrescu would develope regenerative capabilities, retractable claw-like nails, and the ability to transform into a dragonic monster, with her ageing slowed down.
      • However her hereditary blood disease would worsen, requiring a regular supply of fresh human blood to maintain her health, and was therefore judged by Miranda to be a failure. Dimitrescu would rule over House Dimitrescu and its Castle Estate with cruelty, regularly taking in new staff to replace those who had been taken to her dungeon to be killed and drained of blood for sustenance, eventually creating Cadou produced fly-like organisms which adapted into human bodies forming Bela, Daniela, and Cassandra, who Dimitrescu would regard as her daughters, of whom would obey Dimitrescu without question.
        • For decades, Dimitrescu and her daughters consumed local peasants and servants, using their blood to create wine, with female victims mutating into Moroaicǎ and Samcă. Relishing in her reclaimed noble status, Dimitrescu developed extreme caste-based views of society, seeing herself as second only to Miranda herself and openly loathing the other Lords. After Rose’s ritual, Miranda entrusted Dimitrescu with a flask containing Rose’ crystallized head, instructing her to guard it until the ceremony.
          • When Ethan managed to escape the Lycans at the hands of Heisenburg in his ‘Show’, entering Castle Dimitrescu, her daughters quickly subdued him, bringing him before Dimitrescu. Although her daughters planned to consume Winters, she informed them she'd have to tell Miranda first and commanded them to incapacitate Ethna instead, ordering them to impale both of his hands with sickle chains and suspend him from the ceiling. Prying himself free, Ethan traversed the halls of the Castle in search of Rose, only to be cornered by the three daughters throughout his visit, managing to kill all of them, forcing Dimitrescu to find him herself.  Dimitrescu would encounter Ethan trying to sneak into her bedroom and, falsely claiming that she never had Rose to begin with, pummelling him through the floor in a fit of rage, inadvertently allowing him to escape through the catacombs below.
            • Dimitrescu followed closely behind, declaring she would hunt him down and kill him for killing her daughters, prompting Ethan to escape from her. However, he did not get far before having his hand sliced off by Dimitrescu with sadistic rage that he would pay with his life for insulting House Dimitrescu and ending her bloodline.
              • As Ethan entered the Dimitrescu family crypt, Dimitrescu grabbed him from behind and impaled him in the stomach with her claws, with Ethan counteracting this by stabbing her with the Dagger of Death's Flowers, but lost the blade after being flung through a glass window by Alcina. Suffering from the effects of the blend of poisons in the dagger, Dimitrescu began to mutate into her dragonic form, fighting Ethan on the rooftops of the castle, with Dimitrescu's size making it difficult for her to catch him.
                • As she began to calcify while climbing the stairs after him, Dimitrescu made one final attempt at killing Ethan by pulling him down with her as she plummeted to the castle grounds below. Realizing that Winters survived the fall, she cursed his name one last time before crumbling to pieces, leaving only her crystalized remains intact. With her death, the Dimitrescu family was ended once and for all.
  • Due to mutating him and forcing him to serve as one of the Four Lord without any chance for escape and freedom, Miranda is to blame for Heisenberg becoming a dangerous, resentful, and selfish man who would resort to dangerous measures to rebel against Miranda.
    • Kidnapped by Miranda and subjected to Cadou experiments, Karl Heisenburg’s mutation would grant him superhuman strength and electrical organs, which connecting to his nervous system would allow him to harness electromagnetism as well as controlling magnetic fields and to manipulate metal objects. Despite being seen as the strongest of the Four Lords with the most stable mutation, Miranda would view him as a failure, though allowing him to serve as one of the Four Lords.
      • Out of the Lords, Heisenberg was the only one who held a grudge against Miranda, due to her own selfish desire to revive her late daughter at the expense of the villagers and how she saw her "family" as nothing more than experiments. Upon gaining ownership of his family’s Factory, Heisenberg repurposed the factory as a weapons research facility, with him and his assistants experimenting on corpses, reviving them to a degree with Cadou parasites to serve as bioweapons; cybernetic soldiers known as Soldats, which would be used in Heisenberg’s ultimate plan to unleash his army against Miranda to regain his freedom and kill her.
        • Encountering Ethan in a chamber in Castle Dimitrescu, Heisenberg impaled him with a metal bar before using his magnetic powers to encase him in scrap metal, dragging him to a meeting with Miranda and the other Lords. At one point, he silenced Angie and Moreau to stop talking before belittling Lady Dimitrescu and making his case to Miranda to decide Ethan's fate. He won out, proceeding to put on a show for the Lords, forcing Ethan to run through the mines and evade an ever-increasing number of Lycans, before finally trying to use a large grinder to kill him. However Ethan escaped unharmed.
          • After Dimitrescu, Beneviento, and Moreau had been killed by Ethan, Heisenberg contacted him through a television screen, directing him to his Flask containing a piece of Rose in The Stronghold, the den and homebase of the Lycans, which would place Ethan in extreme danger and near death facing off against the Lycans to retrieve the Flask. Heisenberg would then contact Ethan a second time inviting him to his factory. When Ethan discovers Heisenberg's wall covered with crossed-out pictures of the other Lords and Mia, Heisenberg makes his presence known to him and requests he sit down. After forcing him to comply, he reveals to Winters that Miranda had been using him to kill each of the House Lords one by one with the intention to replace them as Miranda's sole enforcer.
            • Knowing that he was the next intended fight, Heisenberg proposes that they work together to kill Miranda using the revived Rose, however when Ethan refuses Heisenberg drops him into the lower depths of the factory to be killed by the Sturm and his other experiments, speaking to Ethan telling him of his resentment for Miranda and his planned rebellion as he ventured through the Factory. Despite Heisenberg's hopes that Ethan wouldn't bother him, he managed to come back, before being confronted by Heisenberg who would mutate into a massive cybernetic creature, giving Ethan one last chance to leave the Factory before knocking him off the platform. However Ethan manageed to escape the Factory with the help of Chris Redfield, prepared with Heisenberg’s Self-Propelled Artillery Tank.
              • Angered that he continued to challenge him, Heisenberg would engage in combat with Ethan, continuously taunting Ethan as he tried to kill him, prematurely claiming victory and ridiculing his attempts to kill him multiple times. The battle continued until the explosives that Chris had planted detonated inside the factory, destroying it entirely and all of the Soldats. Outraged at the loss of his army and factory, Heisenberg continued to fight Ethan until he created a whirlwind of metal, lifting him into the air and attempting to kill him one last time.
                • However, Ethan managed to grab onto the Tank midair and launched its full arsenal at Heisenberg, damaging his apparatus beyond repair. Distraught, Heisenberg once more proclaimed his need to kill Miranda, after which he exploded and calcified, with only his crystalized remaining.
  • Miranda is to blame for Donna Beneviento’s worsened mental health issues, of whom would develop extreme agoraphobia, a fixation with dolls, and a childlike mentality, due to mutating her and giving her the means of using her dolls as weapons.
    • As her ancestral family slowly fell apart, with her parents committing suicide when she was a child, Donna Beneviento’s undiagnosed mental health issues, which would cause her to isolate herself preferring to speak to people through her doll Angie, would worsen, where upon being impanted with the Cadou, of which she survived with little change with only her eye grotesquely deformed, she gained the ability to secrete a psychoactive chemical which could induce extreme and violent hallucinations in people
      • However she was judged to be a failure by Miranda, who saw her as mentally ill and underdeveloped, however she was still welcomed as one of the Four Lords of the Village. After Rose’s ritual, Miranda handed Beneviento a flask containing Rose’ crystallized legs, instructing her to guard it until the ceremony. On the way to the Beneviento Estate, Ethan would unknowingly inhale the pollen of Mold-infected flowers, allowing Beneviento to taunt him with hallucinations of his dead wife. Upon reaching the house and travelling to the basement, Ethan came across the seemingly unattended leg flask on top of Angie, however as he tried to grab it the flask disappeared, along with Ethan's weapons.
        • As Ethan searched for a way to escape, Beneviento taunted him with dolls resembling Mia, recordings of Mia's private thoughts, and mementos of their time raising Rose. As he searched further, he was pursued by a grotesque fetus-like monster. When Ethan managed to return to the ground level of the house, Beneviento appeared with Angie, begging him not to leave, before sending her dolls to attack him. Angie hid throughout the house, instructing Ethan to find her before her "friends" killed him, though he managed to find Angie, stabbing her with a pair of scissors which would break the illusion where Ethan realised he had been stabbing Donna herself all along, only catching a glimpse of her before she calcified and crumbled away.
  • Miranda is responsible for mutating Moreau into a grotesque monster, which would lead him into developing an extreme inferiority complex and becoming a pathetic man who would desperately try to please Miranda, of whom would show him no love or care.
    • Infected by the Cadou by Miranda, mutating into a grotesque fish-like monster with gills, a swim bladder, webbed hands and feet, a hunched back, and a deformed face, Salvatore Moreau would develop an extreme inferiority complex and total lack of self-worth, completely isolating himself in his reservoir, rarely setting foot outside of it.
      • Desperate to prove his worth to the other house lords and to please Mother Miranda, whom he viewed as his actual mother. he conducted experiments on the villagers using the Cadou in order to please Miranda, although none of the experiments were successful. After Rose’s ritual, Miranda handed Moreau a flask containing Rose’ crystallized arms, instructing him to guard it until the ceremony.
        • When Ethan successfully stole the flask from Moreau as he was busy watching TV, Moreau would pathetically beg Ethan to give back the flask, fearing Miranda would disown him as soon as it became known that he lost the flask to Ethan. When Ethan refused to give the flask back, Moreau would try to trap him within a closed corridor using his enzyme walls.
          • However, Ethan quickly escaped and made it to the windmills before being encountered by Moreau, who would attempt to attack both him and Chris Redfield along with the Hound Wolf Squad in his monster fish form. Confronting Ethan, Moreau began vomiting large amounts of green acid before retreating into the water, where he would mutate into his monster form, chasing Ethan attempting to devour him. Having drained all of the reservoir's water, Ethan pursued Moreau into a nearby valley.
            • As they battled, Moreau expressed hope that he would defeat Ethan and make Miranda proud of him, however, Ethan emerged victorious and Moreau's body greatly inflated and exploded in a mixture of flesh, guts, and acid, leaving only his crystallized remains behind.
  • When a young Oswell E. Spencer became lost on a hiking trip in Eastern Europe due to inexperience, Miranda rescued him, taking Spencer in as her protégé, teaching him of the Mold and it’s ability to mutate, assimilate and replicate lifeforms, which would inspire him as a means to achieve his goals of human evolution and changing the world. Spencer would depart from Miranda, going on to discover the Progenitor Virus in West Africa and create the Umbrella Corporation.
    • Even though she didn’t convince him to go through with his goals, due to Miranda teaching Spencer of the means of mutating humans, Miranda is the overarching root behind the establishment of the Umbrella Corporation and all of the atrocities the company would commit and cause, with her actions essentially causing everything in the Resident Evil Universe to happen as if it wasn't for her teachings Spencer likely would've never been able to properly create Bioweaponry, B.O.W.s, and Viruses.
  • At some point in time, Miranda would take on the guise of an elderly woman, dubbed the "Old Hag", where she would be able to spy on villagers due to them disregarding the Hag as insane.

Resident Evil Biohazard (2014-17)[]

  • When she was approached by the crime syndicate The Connections, who had been made aware of her research and wished to collaborate with her, Miranda provided them with a sample of the Mold and an embryonic clone of Eva. The Connections were working on a human B.O.W. project that could brainwash enemy combatants, and with Miranda’s Mold sample they were able to produce a number of prototypes, with Miranda herself overseeing the development of Eveline, the first of their "E-Type".
    • Due to her direct hand in creating her, Miranda is responsible for Eveline becoming psychotic and family-obsessed, and the Dulvey Incident where Eveline would infect the Baker Family and force them to abduct and kill countless lives in order to create her own “Family”.
      • Artificially aged to appear as a ten-year old girl, Eveline was transported across the ocean on a tanker to avoid apprehension from Blue Umbrella, handled by Connections Agents Mia Winters and Alan Droney. When the ship was caught in a hurricane, Eveline rebelled against her handlers, infecting Alan then spreading excessive amounts of Mold into the ship, infecting the ship’s crew, calling Mia her “Mommy” and making her wishes clear of wanting to have her own “Family”, before infecting Mia. The two then landed in the bayou of Dulvey, Louisiana, where they were rescued by Jack Baker.
        • Eveline would cause a blackout in the main house, infecting the Bakers and turning them into her new "family", causing the Baker House Incident, ordering the Bakers to abduct innocent people to add them to her family, forcing them to kill those deemed unworthy to be part of her “Family”. Eventually her body would accelerate as she began to wither from the effects of rapid ageing, gaining the appearance of an eighty-year-old woman requiring a wheelchair for mobility. Eveline manipulated Mia into contacting her husband Ethan in the hopes that he could be turned into a father figure for her. When he arrived and freed Mia, Eveline ordered her to kill Ethan in response to his inadvertent attempt to break up the family.
          • During Ethan’s night in the Baker House, Eveline would follow Ethan around, occasionally appearing in his path causing hallucinations, whilst controlling the Mold to kill him. Once Ethan and Mia defeated the Baker family with the help of Zoe and successfully escaped the Baker property, Eveline calcified Zoe in retaliation and used the Mold to prevent their progress when they came across the wreckage of the tanker, managing to kidnap Ethan and seal him in the depths of the ship. Motivated by the apparent death of Mia, Ethan fought his way through Eveline's Molded in the nearby mines and reached the lab of the Connections, where he crafted the E-Necrotoxin required to kill her, experiencing increasingly intense hallucinations as she focused all her power on controlling him.
            • Upon Ethan's arrival back at the Guest House, Eveline fought back using visions of an infected Mia to ward him off and an almost telekinetic ability to try and push him away, but he was able to reach Eveline. Once injected with the Necrotoxin, Eveline's ability to control Ethan's mind ended and he could only see her aged form, causing her to cry and lament that everyone "hated" her, before her body breaking down, merging with the Mold around the house, turning her into a large Mold-based creature, however Ethan would successfully kill her for good.

Resident Evil Village (2021)[]

  • Upon having learnt of Mia Winters and her husband Ethan's daughter Rosemary, Miranda would immediately plan to abduct Rose from the Winters’ home, believing her to be an ideal host for Eva. After ordering a villager to bring her medical equipment and drugs, Miranda had abducted Mia and subjected her to tests in the village.
  • After assimilating Mia’s DNA in order to appear as Mia, Miranda would infiltrate the Winters’ home, pretending to be Mia for several days, acting much more confrontational to Ethan, who was already having marital issues with Mia.
  • When her infiltration was uncovered by the Hound Wolf Squad, an elite BSAA Task Force commanded by Cpt. Chris Redfield, Miranda was gunned down. Although firearms had minimal effect on Miranda, she realized that it would be difficult to escape with Rose undetected and instead chose to play dead. Her body was loaded into a car with Ethan and Rose taken away, however during transit Miranda attacked and killed both soldiers on board, causing the car to crash in a forest, where she grabbed Rose and ran off into the village.
  • Miranda held a ritual with the Four Lords at the cave church, where Rose was mutilated with her limbs torn apart, with her remains crystallized which allowed her to survive even when mutilated. Miranda would divide Rose’s remains between the Four Lords as insurance for the ritual, with the plan of reviving Rose with mold in order to turn her into a host for Eva.
  • As considerable biomass was required to accomplish Eva’s resurrection, Miranda ordered the Four Lords to murder all of their servants and the villagers.
  • With the peasants' usefulness expired, Miranda unleashed the Lycans on them. By daybreak, most of the village's population had either been slaughtered or transformed into Lycans themselves.
    • During her final search of the village, Miranda spotted the last survivor, Iulian, and killed him personally.
  • Taking the form of the Old Hag, Miranda provided Ethan with false information saying that Rose was at Castle Dimitrescu.
  • Miranda held an emergency meeting at the old church following Karl Heisenberg's capture of Ethan. Upon Dimitrescu and Heisenburg arguing, Miranda furiously silences them, before giving Heisenberg, who was regarded as the most dangerous Lord, permission to have Ethan killed, of whom would order a horde of Lycans to kill Ethan as part of a ‘Show’.
  • As noon approached, she received a phone call from Dimitrescu alerting her to Winters' presence in the castle, however she decided to prohibit his execution, only for her own agendas.
  • When Winters escaped the castle after his slaying of Dimitrescu and ran into Miranda in an underground shrine beneath the ceremony site, in her Old Hag form she teased her knowledge of his mutant nature and sent him off in search of the other three lords in order to kill them.
  • When Ethan had recovered all four flasks and placed them within the Giant's Chalice at the ceremony site, Miranda, watching from afar, began the process of waking up the Black God, causing earthquakes and unleashing destruction as it began growing beneath the surface.
  • After Ethan’s fight with the mutated Heisenberg, with Winters ultimately the victor, Miranda would finally reveal herself to Ethan personally, taunting him before ripping his heart out due to Ethan having outlived his purpose of killing the Four Lords.
  • Over the course of the night, Miranda waited at the ceremony site as the Fungal Root grew more and more, even destroying the eastern and southern parts of the village in the process, with BSAA Europe and Redfield along with the Hound Wolf Squad making their move against Miranda, of whom would send hordes of Lycans and monsters to fend them off.
  • When finally confronted by Ethan, Miranda continued with the ritual, attempting to sacrifice Rose in order to revive Eva, but discovered to her horror that the reincorporated Rose was fighting back the super-colony, weakening the Fungal Root and preventing Eva’s consciousness from taking over Rose. With Winters and Redfield taking the offensive, Miranda, forced to take extreme measures, would undergo a series of extreme mutations, before attempting to kill Ethan. During the fight Miranda would viciously taunt Ethan, having gone insane and desperate to complete the ritual and bring back Eva.
  • Upon Ethan finally gaining the upper hand when Miranda flipped him over and attempted to strike him in the face, shooting her several times, Miranda's body became exhausted and calcified.
  • In a beaten and weakened state, Ethan pleaded with Redfield to take Rose back to Mia and the helicopter so that he could ensure their safety. Taking Redfield's detonator, Ethan would confront Miranda one final time, who had completely fused with the Megamycete becoming colossal and berserk, blowing both himself and Miranda up, annihilating the Village and ending Miranda for good.

Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose (2037)[]

  • She survived on Megamycete for 16 years as a remnant still trying to bring her daughter back through Rose, demonstrating hallucinations of Dion "Canine" Wilson to Rosemary, tricking Rosemary into taking away Mutamycete's powers by collecting a purifying Crystal within the Megamycete/Realm of Conciousness.
  • She attempted to destroy Rosemary's mind by dragging her into a nightmare, creating clones of Rosemary and a Fake Duke & Face-Eaters with Cadou.
  • When Rosemary finally collected the Crystal, her powers were drained, and with that chance to strike, Miranda herself confronted Rosemary telling her she lured Rose into the Megamycete/Realm of Consciousness through Canine, and with Rose's Powers gone, Miranda will use Rose to become a vessel for Eva and mutates.
  • When Ethan himself showed up and ran away from Miranda with Rose, she chased the Duo in the cave while sending Face-Eaters after them.
  • When Catching Rose at the end of the cave, she restrained her saying "you're mine, now" then Ethan shoots Miranda off Rose with a Shotgun. and the trio then go into a new stratum within the realm of consciousness.
  • in the new stratum she grabbed Rose again, but Ethan interfered and he told Rose to run away while he confronts Miranda, but Miranda Impales Ethan with a Mutamycete Tentacle and leaves Ethan weakened.
  • When Rose destroys the crystal she gets her powers back, and with that Miranda has a last fight with Rosemary, mocking and taunting her that she can't beat Miranda in her own demain and if Rose kills Miranda she will kill the only one who understands her.
  • Weakens Rose at the end of the fight, but Ethan gives Rose a power up, which Rose uses to kill Miranda for the final time.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She genuinely cares for her daughter, Eva, even willing to sacrifice Rosemary and thousands of people in order to bring her back after she died to the Spanish flu, as Mother Miranda had a mad maternal love for her. Even her last words in her real body & her conciousness in the Megamycete were just her screaming out Eva's name. In addition, as Resident Evil Village is a game that strongly reveals "maternal love" and "paternal love", she shows a confrontation with Ethan Winters, who shows the true paternal love of an ordinary father.
