Mose Jakande is the secondary antagonist of the 2015 action film Furious 7, the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
He is a notorious terrorist leader and mercenary who secretly works for the cyber-terrorist Cipher. In 2014, Jakande sets himself on finding a powerful hacking device called the "God's Eye" that enables the user to hack on almost every system across the globe, coming across Dominic Toretto and his crew in the process and leading him to temporarily team up with the devious Deckard Shaw to get rid of Toretto.
He was portrayed by Djimon Hounsou.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Likely committed several unaccountable terrorism acts throughout his career as a mercenary under Cipher's payroll and terrorist leader of his own private military company.
- Had some ties with Connor Rhodes, Cipher's right-hand in the past, which surely involved nefarious activities.
- Kidnaps Ramsey so she can tell him about her hacking creation known as the "God's Eye", which is an A.I. drone that enables the user to track down whatever individual across the globe, in which Jakande wishes to use it to follow the tracks of his targets and allow Cipher to take over the world in the process.
- It's also highly likely that he forced Ramsey to provide him the information he needed. If he had succeeded in extracting information, Mose would've immediately killed her for outliving her usefulness.
- Pursues Dominic Toretto and Ramsey after the former rescues her with his crew's assistance until he corners them in a cliff's edge. He also expressed no remorse from his men being killed while Louis Kiet made it out alive.
- Forms an alliance with Deckard Shaw so he can get rid of Toretto and his crew, but it's merely a professional one.
- Ambushes Toretto, Brian O'Conner, Mr. Nobody and the latter's covert ops team at Abu Dhabi to allow Shaw and his men to steal back the "God's Eye".
- Shoots Mr. Nobody's right-hand Sheppard dead while Kiet injures Nobody in the shootout against Toretto and his friends, causing them to leave with a wounded Nobody to prevent Mose and his men from killing them all.
- Deploys a high-speed drone to destroy the Los Angeles, California radio tower Ramsey is using to hijack the "God's Eye", endangering several of the city's population, as well as those who help her like O'Conner, Roman Pearce, Tej Parker and Letty Ortiz on the way, with Ramsey and Ortiz almost being killed if not for Luke Hobbs arriving to the rescue in an ambulance.
- During the attack, Brian is nearly killed by Kiet, but overpowers and kills Kiet. Mose expressed no concern over Kiet's death at all.
- To take this even further, Mose shows no concern over innocent lives, and doesn't care the fact that he's killing innocent people, just to retake Ramsay.
- During the attack, Brian is nearly killed by Kiet, but overpowers and kills Kiet. Mose expressed no concern over Kiet's death at all.
- Launches a missile at the parking garage where Toretto and Shaw are facing each other to get rid of the two once and for all, deeming Shaw no longer useful. The resulting explosion heavily hurts Shaw, but barely doesn't kill him.
- Angrily opens fire at Letty's car to kill a hidden Ramsey for successfully depriving him from using the "God's Eye". Of course, Ramsay survived and was able to stop the hack.
- In his last ditch effort, he was about to kill Dominic Torreto before being interfered by Luke Hobbs armed with a minigun, diverting his target to Hobbs instead. This allowed Dom to seize the opportunity by driving his car airborne, slipping a satchel containing grenade clusters before crashing down, nearly killing him in the process. This also allowed Hobbs to fire his gun at the grenade, resulting in a large explosion, destroying the stealth chopper and killing Mose Jakande inside, thus ending his reign of terror.
- Overall shows no care to both Dom and his crew along with innocent people being caught in the crossfires, the latter of which he showed no concern towards innocent lives being in danger as a result of his reprehensible actions, just to achieve his goals by any means necessary.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Fails to fully stand out when compared to Cipher, who did considerably worse with arguably the same resources.
