“ | In the real world, you need more than a neat, little detective story. You need evidence. And you’ve got… nothing. Wanna take that to the cops? You wanna take it to the courts? You pick your poison. Anywhere you go, it’s going to be your word against mine. How do you think that’s gonna go? I think it’s gonna go about like it went for Andi. | „ |
~ Miles Bron bragging about how he will get away with his crimes. |
“ | Burned what? I didn’t see anything. Is someone making toast? Uh-huh. Well, did you see this proof, this smoking napkin, Blanc? No. Did anybody? Okay, then wow! Wow! We got some big accusations flying around here. Except, everybody seems to have a very foggy recollection of what they actually saw, and there’s nothing but totally circumspective evidence. So, if this was just us playing my murder mystery game, which we should have been doing all weekend, then Blanc wins an iPad Pro this time. | „ |
~ Miles Bron after destroying the evidence, right before his downfall. |
Miles Bron is the main antagonist of the 2022 Netflix mystery film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the second installment in Rian Johnson‘s Knives Out film series.
He is a wealthy billionaire who wishes to launch Klear, a revolutionary new energy source, even though it is extremely dangerous and could kill millions of people. When Andi threatens to reveal that he didn't create their company, Bron kills her and attempts to kill everyone else who tries to stop his plans.
He was portrayed by Edward Norton.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He attempted to launch Klear, even though if it gets too close to fire it may cause an explosion, which could have lead to millions of deaths.
- When Andi attempted to stop him by threatening to take down the company, he had all of her friends betray her by committing perjury in court, claiming that Miles came up with their company when it was actually Andi.
- When Andi threatened to use evidence to reveal the truth, Miles poisoned her before staging her death as a suicide.
- He was willing to bring Lionel and Claire down with him, whose reputations would be ruined if he released Klear.
- He made Birdie take the fall for her Bangladesh sweatshop he was investing in.
- He allowed his house to be run on Klear despite knowing how dangerous it is, and put an override button on the safety feature for the Mona Lisa, which would put it in danger of damage.
- He had an affair with his friend Duke's girlfriend, Whiskey, not knowing that Duke planned it.
- When Duke tried to blackmail him over Andi's death, he murdered Duke by using his pineapple allergy against him.
- He stole Duke's gun and attempted to murder Helen.
- When Helen tried to reveal the evidence she has against him, he burned it while forcing his friends to say nothing.
- Even when Helen blew up his mansion, he still tried to mock her over the fact that she can't stop him since he is wealthy and is forcing her peers to help him.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is quite comedic, with his defeat about how much of an idiot he is and his rant to Helen about not being able to defeat him being very funny and out of place. However, his act of trying to release Klear is taken with severe gravitas, so this is minor.
- He has a Pet the Dog moment of allowing Derrol to stay at his island since he has no other place to go, with there being no pragmatic reason to do this.
Trivia[]
- Miles Bron was initially approved as Inconsistently Heinous. However, with evidence that he is not a parody and his comedic moments aren't too bad, he was approved as NPE.
