I was doing people a service really, by shooting them. There's kangaroos all over the place... like tourists.
~ Mick Taylor.

Michael "Mick" Taylor is the main antagonist of the Wolf Creek film series, as well as the 2016 mini-series of the same name. He is also the villainous main protagonist of Wolf Creek: Origins and Wolf Creek: Desolation Games.

He is an extremely sadistic and bloodthirsty serial killer who enjoys kidnapping and murdering tourists from the Australian outback after deceptively gaining their trust. A ruthless and psychopathic madman to the core, Mick brutally tortures his victims as well as sexually assaulting or raping and mutilating them.

He was portrayed by John Jarratt.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • As detailed in the novels, in camp, he beat a bully so bad he dislocated his eyeball from the eye-socket.
  • As detailed in the novels, he killed a dog, forced the owner to eat some of the animal, and later killed the owner when he came after him for revenge.
  • Has been raping, torturing, and murdering people for decades.
  • As revealed in the novels, he tied up his girlfriend and used her as rape bait to lure another killer into a trap.
  • Stabbed and killed his girlfriend.
  • Performed numerous war crimes in the Vietnam War as detailed in the second novel, even raping many civilian women.
  • He has murdered an entire family, including a little girl, as seen with a video of some of his victims.
  • Fed various people to a Rottweiler.
  • Severed Lisa's spinal cord and turned her into a human vegetable.
  • Brutally murdered two officers for unjustly giving him a false speeding ticket. While the cops were jerks and badmouthed him and his truck, the deaths he gave them were still quite cruel.
  • Killed a man for his truck.
  • While he does have multiple comedic moments, they don't detract from any of the heinous crimes he commits, and he is still played as a real serious threat in universe.
  • Sadistically drove the stolen truck through a field of kangaroos and killed several of them.
  • Murdered an elderly couple.
  • Tortured Paul by grinding off his fingers.
  • Revealed that he planned to rape Paul.
  • Kept an emaciated woman trapped in his lair.
  • Tortured Paul by cutting him with knives while he was knocked out and incriminated him as a possible suspect for his crimes.
  • Murdered Eve's parents and kid brother.
  • Made Eve stab and fatally wound her love interest.
  • Murdered a man who had been his friend for decades to eliminate him as a potential witness.
  • He is racist because he detests foreigners, and given the level of brutality he shows female victims, he also seems to be an intense misogynist.
  • He is an absolute hypocrite, kidnapping, torturing, and killing foreign tourists in Australia and claiming they're not welcome, yet he kills many native Australians as well.
  • Targeted and killed a tour group because the guide said Mick wouldn't make a good tour guide because of how politically incorrect he was, referring to the slurs Mick was using.
  • Killed a child with a pickaxe.
  • He was not killed or punished and escaped with all his crimes. Although he was defeated by Eve in the series.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He has a very tragic past, as he was constantly beaten by his pathetic excuse for a father (who was a massive jerk to everyone around him), bullied in camp, blackmailed by some serial killers, and his own mother sexually abused him for her own amusement. While this past is no excuse for his actions, it nonetheless played too big a role in shaping Mick into the sick monster he is to not be considered mitigating.
  • He genuinely did love and care about his sister. Despite killing her, he felt remorse for doing such.
  • It’s implied that he’s against child sexual abuse, but this doesn’t necessarily matter since he’s a rapist. Thus making this a very minor prevention.
