Micah Bell II is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Leviticus Cornwall) of the 2018 western action-adventure video game Red Dead Redemption II.
He is the son of Micah Bell I and the father of Micah Bell III and Amos Bell and was infamously wanted in five different counties for murder until his death in 1899.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is Micah Bell I's son, and it is implied that the two collaborated together to commit crimes.
- By 1877, he had become an infamous bandit who committed many crimes with his son throughout multiple counties, influencing his son to become the pure evil monster he is, making him indirectly responsible for all of Micah's later crimes.
- Their relationship remains ambiguous and is not clear if he ever cared for both his father and his son.
- He and his son brutally murdered their employers, Roscoe and Jean Briggs, by slitting their throats and hanging them in a barn in Ohio, resulting in a bounty being placed on their heads.
- At some point, he was wanted in five different counties for murder.
- He also bonded with his other son, Amos Bell, in doing several crimes until the two got in a fight where he attempted to kill Amos. As a result, Amos leaves the Bell family and even changes his surname, which clearly demonstrates how vile the family is.
- Since he got away with all of his heinous crimes, he is a Karma Houdini villain because he died in 1899 for an unknown reason.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He fails the Heinous Standards compared to his own son and to Dutch van der Linde, with the former ratting out the Van der Linde gang, causing the gang to fall apart, and taking part in Arthur Morgan's death while also massacring half of Strawberry's citizens and the latter instigating the infamous Blackwater massacre and a war between the Wapiti natives and the US army, with both of them also having higher kill counts with similar resources. He also suffers from offscreen villainy, as his actions are only mentioned. However, we do see that he influenced Micah to be exactly like him, making it a weak prevention.
- He lacks characterization, as it is unclear what his goals and motives were, though this is a minor prevention given that he is portrayed as a sadistic sociopath who will pass on his family's evilness to future generations while also killing people without remorse.
